I agree with your first post Dixie. Maybe this will be a chance to have the La Raza agenda seen publically, so it can be seen by the many Americans who thought it was not a big deal, and they too will wake up and start fighting for what is right in this nation.
I have zero issues with women (I am one) or anyone of other ethnicities or race being in this position, it is about THIS womans beliefs and judgements that scare me, and make me not want her there.
Dangit! Out for one day for my daughters wedding and you all get the fun of roasting a troll without me!
Was it good?
Is there an option here?Quote:

ANYWAY - i have built a email and fax system, that will email/fax all or a portion of senators and house representatives. if you have ever used capwiz for congressional contact.. its basically kinda like that.. for the email system. For faxing, word docs are converted and "printed" to a fax modem, Both are pretty much automated to run through a contact list.
Why do i say this -- because I told all my family, friends and church that I built this system and they could use it to contact all the congress, just simply by writing something, sending it to me, then id stage it to send. Sadly, i had no takers -- another travesty -- are people so deceied or dont care??!!
It is flashy and nice!
and fred410: WELCOME and boy you get to work. Thank you! Many are not awake yet I am sorry to say. You can come here daily to ALIPAC, though.
Some tools to use:
www.blueservo.com ,
NumbersUSA.com ,
National Tea Party in your local area,
Go to local board meetings : school city/county/district, city council and etc...
Geez!!! I had company show up that I just THOUGHT was entertaining - and missed a WHOLE LOT HERE! I'm gonna have to go back several pages and catch up on the fireworks.
builditnow - to answer your original question to me, I realize now I was reacting to Ulysses. I find people's online 'handles' fascinating. I was comparing 'builditnow' to 'Ulysses' - wonder what Freud would have to say about the latter's preferred signature. What kind of COMPLEX might we come up with?? What do they say about each of you??? I like yours much better - it sounds very 'constructive'. Vortex - I think I'd like to get to know you - maybe mine shouldn't be 'lady' - but tornado or hurricane! It's more how I feel.
Think of all the weight that guy is carrying around. I think we all need to just say a little private prayer of thanks that we are not so 'enlightened' as he. He obviously stumbled onto this site by accident - on his way to kindergarten, maybe (after he gets off the golf course and finishes his dissertation, of course.)
In the meantime, I'm grateful to have found a place where others are as concerned regarding what is going on as I am - where I can hear a REAL person have A REAL opinion on this subject that didn't come from some email that was sent to them in order to scare them out of their wits. (Actually, I'm not too sure my friends have any 'wits' about them) although they will be the first and loudest to scream once all we fear comes to fruition because few besides ourselves will speak up and out.
Fred, my friends are as brain-dead as yours. It IS frustrating - so frustrating that builditnow thought I might be angry at him (or possibly Ulysses, lol). It's the frustration that's getting to me. I like the idea of your program. I'm also a member of NumbersUSA - and found out the other day that I'm in the top 5% of faxers in their group! Keep up the great work.
I want to ask a question of anyone who might have an answer for me. I am an INDEPENDENT - I vote issues and people rather than party and agree with some ideas from each side of the spectrum. I'm not as conservative as some or as liberal as others. I don't, however, have any idea how to find an organization of like-minded citizens who might be interested in an exchange of ideas at the local level without 'party politics' getting in the way. They don't all have to think like me, they just have to THINK! I am realizing just how isolated I am and need to get more involved locally. Any ideas, anyone? :?:
Town Hall Meetings. :DQuote:

Thank you W for stopping his idiocy. We had had enough. I tried to get a firm answer from my reps' Town Hall schedules and it seems my senators are too busy to hold one. My H. of Rep. Joe Barton - a huge supporter of our side IS having 2 in the Dallas area that I plan to attend (but feel I will find mostly committed Republicans there). I think Sen. Cornyn basically agrees with us (although he is only one of 3 Repub's still in talks with the Dem's and Obama over the health bill which scares me) and Sen. Hutchison is afraid to put her foot out the door this month for fear someone might want to pin down her ideas before the floor or in committee - or ask what she would do as Gov. of our State as she plans to run soon for that position. She's terrified of offending anyone - ANYONE. If she just keeps quiet she might find herself in the Gov's mansion without answering a question - we ARE, by tradition and vote a Republican state.
If anyone else has ideas (it isn't listed in the phone book under 'Independent Forum', I'm afraid. I'll try some of these ideas.
Redoaklady:
Check with "NumbersUSA". They're sending out Town Hall Meeting schedules to members and anyone who asks.
I just received an email from Roy Beck with a list of upcoming meetings here in Oklahoma.
I see Okla, Congressman Tom Cole will be at a meet in my town this coming Tuesday.
You better believe I'll be there.
It's funny, I just got a haircut and found out that my barber is the
Mother-in-Law of Rep, Randy Terrill, The author of HR1804.
Thanks, I've been watching N.USA - I"m on their site almost daily.
I also found 'Independant Anericans ' on the net and will try that. Maybe there is a local group but it's too late to get to them tonite.
If you could tell me one more thing - how do I do to get those great graphics on my site?
I'd love something snazzy to add under my name in left column (or anywhere else).
Any technical help would be appreciated.
Thanks to all for being there for me (and for that pitiful excuse for a man - Ulysses. It is our job to be 'bigger' and I think that we are.
Thanks again, redoaklady

RIGHT CLICK !!! That's what I wasn't doing - a big DUH! (at least I hope that was ALL I wasn't doing lol) If it isn't I'll get back to you if that's ok.
Many thanks - I love your graphics!
I dreamed about Ulysses last night - not sure exactly what - but I think it was a nightmare!!!
I'm already am in N.USA (got to them and you on Lou Dobbs) - in fact, they told me last week that I was in the TOP 5% of their faxers! I wrote CNN over the flap they are getting on him and BEGGED them to FIRE HIM - just go ahead and do it - AND THEN MAYBE HE'D GET OUT FROM BEHIND THAT SAFE DESK AND RUN FOR PRESIDENT! We could do worse (and have!) Otherwise, LEAVE HIM ALONE AND GIVE HIM A RAISE!
The only Independent Voters group I found in Dallas on the net was the Gay group. As I have no problems with them, either, I think when I get back from vacation (leaving this am but will have laptop) I'll give them a call and ask if they know of any groups around that concentrate on voting or politics. I may even join one of their marches lol.
Again, thanks
If someone will get us the list of meetings we will get it to all of our people citing NumbersUSA of course.
W
This presents a very disturbing trend in our country. By GOP Senators confirming this judge, we realize just how fearful of any descent from the majority party these lawmakers are. Would they be as quick to confirm someone who is on the board of a White Supremist group? Of course not! Only the minority racist groups get a pass. Make no mistake, these groups are racist & are now leading the way to become the majority. Amnesty is one road to that goal. This country has conceded more rights to its minorities than any other. This country has also been more tolerant of minorities & their sometimes violent demands. So, what's the beef? If you are so unhappy here, go home! Ah, but it is not as good there, is it? No, you would probably be shot, or put in a "re-education" camp. That is the reality of their homeland. As a descendants of immigrants, who have achieved much without Govt. aid, we should be proud of their determination & love for this country, which has given us more than some of us appreciate.
you should have told them to recall 1994 and that they will be getting thrown out on their rear ends 2 years before obummer doesQuote:

It's too bad people, the American public... couldn't be as passionate about this as they are about health care. The destruction of a country regarding illegal immigration, corrupt business and corrupt government isn't worth getting upset over? It all boils down to the same thing... we will lose our country if Americans don't wake up!! This country is still worth fighting for and it has nothing to do with being compassionate... it has to do with a few selling out our country for the agendas of a few... We need to have compassion on our children and grandchildren and so on.
Just listening to a report on CNN about the drug cartels from Mexico working their way deeper into the US recruiting American teens!!! What is it going to take for our elected reps to do their jobs ??? We shouldn't be confirming racist judges...especially when it is in plain site and allowing groups like LaRazza to operate with the help of government moneys... should we give other groups money as well...KKK, Black Panthers? No, absolutely not...nor should we give it to LaRaza!!
Jak, I could not agree more with you right now. I wish we could get as many angry people to "mob" their congressional reps and senators about illegal immigration like they have the health care reform package.
We can only hope and pray that this growing disgust with the government begins to move forward into all issues, and especially into our unsecured borders and how illegal immigration is affecting us right now.
Also would love for these people to realize, our health care system might not be in the trouble it is currently in if it were not for one thing.....misuse of hospitals and ER's by illegal aliens (being here illegally, then going in with hurts or illnesses and knowing they were not going to pay).
Health care costs have gone up dramatically, and we all know that it is mainly form unpaid use, which hospitals attempt to recover in raised costs.

thanks mk for all the help - i'll sit down with all of your excellent instructions in a couple of days and can get off this stupid laptop. i typed a reply last night but the dumb machineate it and it disappeared as if by magic before i could hit send and i didn't have time to start over. anyway - much appreciated your help.
also thanks to vortex - the League of Women voters etc. were good ideas. i need to get away from my computer more before i turn into a toad!
congratulate me - i made my lst conquest among my friends tonight after 2 hours of im'ing with her. turns out she's not only very upset about the health care issue but is very upset about illegal aliens! duh! i know she's been reading my emails! anyway, iconvinced her that she could at least send a few free (important factor on her income) faxes at least thru NumbersUSA and maybe a phone call to a senator or two. i'll get her hooked, yet.
i haven't figured out just why so huge of a percentage of americans are determined to remain in the silent majority category - if they don't do something, they are going to be pushing one for spanish and two for english. a convert! i'm patting myself on the back - it was HARD WORK!! YIPPEE!!
redoaklady: Many people like being neutral, the path of least resistance or is it little input equals most benefit attitude. Opinion and backbone is lacking. What is worse? The imposing of certain self interest placed on the entire US population without knowing the negative or positive results. Or value gain and don't care about others is also at play in all human beings.
I am proud of you if you got someone reading and listening already. It takes time and time is limited and valuable. Listening to Fox News, C-Spans, and others for variety is good for Americans to educate themself. We are on an up hill climb is the way I look at the problem facing the US.
Simple. US Interest. Make your own. Don't shop Wal-Mart! Build friendships! Go to meetings such as: City Council, School Board, County, Chamber of Commerce, State, and Federal. Go watch, listen, and report to others - like ALIPAC.
Obama is American.
Sotomayor is American.
Puerto Ricans are American.
Not all Americans are WASPs.
When the WASPs first came to "America", they were illegal aliens.
Here endeth the civics lesson.
I can't believe I had to go to all the trouble of registering on this site just to remind people of that...
You hope all the above are truths! What about traitors of the Constitution?
rantboy - we appreciate the civics lesson. i'm not sure why you bothered to go to all that trouble signing up either, just to tell us that. If we weren't accutely aware of the diversity of Americans and the responsibility of EACH and every one of us, my guess is that we wouldn't be here giving you the opportunity to share your views.
My suggestion to you - I don't think you're going to make to many converts here - your best bet to influence someone is to find someone who may think like you and join in your rant (or may not) on a site less committed to maintaining our rights as they were given to us. Try your elected officials to make the change you want just as we are doing. I would, if I were you, go back to the sign-up page and ask them to delete your name from our rolls. That would keep us from counting you in our total membership number. You have added to our grand total by one.
Our 'melting pot' is what has made America work for so long - that and the foresight of our forefathers to write and ratify laws that give every citizen the right to their own opinions. I hope you have a long life ahead of you. My understanding is that in 20 years the 'majority' in the US will become the 'minority'. May we all still have the freedoms many thousands have fought and died for.
The folks on this site are pretty well aware of their positions on things political - although I have no idea what the 'racial mix' is in ALIPAC. I know that polls of 'Latino Americans' I've seen says that they overwhelmingly are NOT in favor of amnesty or 'assimilation', either.
Isn't it wonderful that those who fought and died for the rights we have today were willing to 'give me liberty or give me death'? The survivors then got together to write this wonderful constitution we now live under.
They left us with a wonderful system of freedoms, including the right to free speech.
This may be YOUR civics lesson end for today. The freedom, rights, and responsibilities of each citizen are critical to remaining the United States of Amerca. Go back and read the 'Bill of Rights' handed down through the generations to us.
Here, we prefer conversation and debate to 'rant'.
God bless you. May you go in peace and GOD BLESS AMERICA.
