All the churches need new members because very few Americans go to church anymore . So the hypocrits who preach the ' word ' need memebers to keep the doors open . This is a sad fact but still a fact . Now some of the churches have turned into lobbist for illegals .Quote:

With all due respect, I think that many of the people posting here have jumped to an overly definitive conclusion without giving the man a chance to clarify and elaborate on his statement. If he is asked to clarify his position and comes back with allowing legalization in a very narrow and vague set of circumstances after the borders have been secured, then even if not an ideal position, it would still be a vastly superior position to any other public figures with political viability. On the other hand, if he starts elaborating on some sort of broad amnesty, then all of the reaction would then be justified. Dobbs is someone that I recall responding to people saying we could not logistically remove all illegals with the statement why not, so some broad amnesty program would be a clear flip flop.
I think everyone is justified to be concerned and to demand clarification, but after all of his good work on this issue, I strongly suggest you allow him the chance to clarify and elaborate before writing them man off entirely, pulling down websites, etc.
Please keep it on topic. Thanks!!!Quote:

Don't spoil the Presidential race with a third party run and give victory to the libs. Run as a conservative republican for Senate.
I am dissapointed with Lou's comments.
About the interview with Maria and Lou Dobbs. First off Maria should get her facts straight too. All prisoners wear pink at the Tent city prison she was talking about. And really doesn't anybody get it? It is not about Mexicans. It is about ILLEGAL!! And when you reed the comments under the video you see that Maria is not talking for all Mexicans. The ones who came here the right way also say Illegal is ILLEGAL. I'm also tired of hearing that America was build on immigrants. My forefathers came from Ireland "Legally", and don't say the whites took this land away from the Indians, because One of my Irish forefathers fell in love with an Indian and made her his wife. Which makes me a Proud Irish+Native American. And I'm proud of both What happened 200 years ago has nothing to do with NOW. But I must say I'm not sure about Lou Dobbs. He seamed to be week about his views. Though the whole interview was only about something Dobbs said 3 years ago. But the Shwine flu that we have right now did come from Mexico !!
For right now I will watch Dobbs and hope he just had a bad day
I figured it out a few months ago, and changed mine also. Once you do it, the time changes immediately even on all your old posts. I was also in la-la land about it for a while. I just thought the time was set that way by ALIPAC website for some reason, and/or couldn't be changed.Quote:

Wonder if Dobbs realizes how many LEGAL U.S. Citizens are begging for the opportunity to vote for an honest, non-pandering politician, who doesn't care about being all politically correct, and who actually advocates for the American people?
We are smart enough to know when we have been gamed. Lou is a "wordsmith" who is very expert at all the fine nuances of the words in this debate. He told her they (illegals) now have a friend in Lou. Working together to find a solution means a much different thing than "attrition through enforcement". Lou always said the only "rational player" in this (illegal invasion) drama was the illegal alien. I always harshly disagreed with this analysis. What is not rational about "attrition through enforcement" as advocated by Numbers USA. Lou knows that using the lanquage he did: legalization in some circumstances, means opening the floodgates of amnesty. It is a total reversal of what he said on his show for years. In my book this is hypocricy. He always criticized the politicians for pandering on illegal immigration and now he does it because he might be interested in running for office, that is hypocricy of the highest order. My God, I wouldn't want to go down the river with this man, or depend on him in a foxhole. What a douche!
Welcome to ALIPAC, Marge3. Good points you made in your first post.Quote:

That is why we can't allow amnesty legislation at all. Maybe those that haven't been involved in this struggle don't understand that. It might not be that bad to open the door for a few, but it just wouldn't stay that way due to the way the legislation is written. So, when you argue maybe Dobbs is better than most you deceive yourself on what the outcome would be.
I have always thought Lou Dobbs to be weak. He was okay by himself on his show giving his opinion, but every time he had a guest, he was a weakling. Though I really don't like O'Reilly, at least he doesn't let a guest overpower him.
Dobbs even let O'Reilly overpower him when he was on his show. Dobbs is a nice man but we don't need a nice guy right now. We need someone with a backbone and who will say what he means and do as he says.
That interview was so sickening, I had to stop after the Joe Arpaio question. Dobbs has to apologize for not speaking Spanish? Are you kidding me? He can't give any facts that illegals do bring in diseases that we haven't seen in years because no one is checking them?
But the worst was the Arpaio question. He can't stand up for the only law enforcement agent in the United States who is actually doing his job and protecting us? That was a no brainer and Dobbs failed.
Compromising our principles got us John McCain. Dobbs would be the same. I would never vote for him.

After watching Lou Dobbs interview on the Spanish network Telemnudo I feel he was ill prepared for the interview although he did fairly well overall. If I had been him I would have had more facts to back up what ever was going to be presented which he must have been able to guess what that would be from the start. I feel Lou was sounding much too much like a politician and lees like a journalist. He has had strong opinions on illegal immigration in the past on his show from what I have been told however during this interview he seemed more wishy-washy. He did not impress me as to being as knowledgeable on the subject of illegal immigration as one would have expected for someone who wanted to take on this issue.
It's good to hear the views from the new comers who just joined. Good insights, guys!

GMT - 6 hours? Yes!
I posted this at the site of the video, but I'll try to do it again here.
I believe Dobbs was calm & right on target with his responses, as well as ultra-polite & NON-combative with Maria.
Maria was poker-faced as she challenged Dobbs, trying to get him to implicate himself in what she put forth as misdeeds, rather than errors on the part of ad libbers on his old show.
I've had several Hispanics tell me how warm, demonstrative, emotional & loving they are as a people, & I heard Maria say how she represents ALL Hispanics (!) yet she was none of these things, she was - as I said - poker-faced & very cool as she shot questions at Dobbs. So basically, she was just acting the way all TV interviewers generally are supposed to behave.
Regrettably, Maria is unable to utter the very accurate words, "illegal immigrants." Too bad reality hasn't caught up with her. When it does, she may be knocked off her feet, right onto her tush.
I got the feeling that this interview was done rather spur of the moment. Lou didn't look very comfortable in my opinion.Quote:

dear americans for legal immigration i think that our goverment has done to lou that thay did to ross when thay thought that we would put in athird party. think about it what else would make a man with lous strong convictings back off like he did I can tell you that is not like this man fon no reason. :x
Anyone that watched more than five minutes of this trash has more of a stomache than I do. It sickened me and I want to now, publically take back everything I've ever said positive about Lou Dobbs. I'm not sure if he wants his job back at CNN or if he wants to go and co-host on Fox with Geraldo, or if he wants to go into politics. As far as I'm concerned he's lost any support he had by going on Telemundo.
Lou, the hope and trust that I placed in you is now gone. If you seek public office you'll not get a dime of support from me. In your latest declaration, you've cast yourself as another not-to-be-trusted politician, inseparable from the jackals of the mainstream parties you once characterized as traitors.
Seeing this interview is shocking. But as a past watcher of him on CNN, I remember that he has never been for sending the illegal immigrants back home. He has always been for some kind of penalty for being here illegally but not deporting the ones here. He is an avid border security advocate and wants all illegal entry stopped. This in it's self would be a blessing.
I personally think that legal immigration is the only way to go. I do not believe that illegals should be given any kind of amnesty again. Certainly not entitlements like education, housing, medical, and voting privileges.
I would prefer to vote for someone that does not want to give some kind of amnesty but I don't think there is a candidate for prez out there, at least not yet. It may be too late by 2012 anyway.
When in doubt - go to the source. I googled Lou Dobbs and went to "The Official Home of Lou Dobbs on the Web". I emailed him, explained our frustrations, anger and some continued loyalty over this interview with Telemundo and implored him to contact William or ALIPAC to clarify his views.
This site's latest and official posting was entered Nov. 23, 2009 - 4 days ago (after he left CNN). In it he had a lot to say regarding his stand on illegal aliens and employers of same. There is also a tape that can be played of him speaking of his beliefs and position with numerous excerpts of his last six years of broadcasting on the issue.
A few of his written comments (paraphrased):
The illegal employer of illegal aliens deserves the greatest sanctions. The illegal employer is acting against the national interests, acting against the law in every respect. How can we get to the employer who is so shamelessly exploiting the illegal alien and so shamelessly flaunting US Law?
This Broadcast has repeatedly stressed the need to solve this nation's massive illegal alien crisis. It has (the broadcast) always been a strong supporter of fair, humane immigration policies. "I am absolutely one of the most passionate opponents of illegal immigration, but I've also made it very clear I'm also one of those who respects most the illegal alien. I worked with them in my youth with beans and potatos, etc. and know them to be good people". [I believe here he is speaking of the illegals who just come here to better themselves, their lives and that of their families (which he mentions) - NOT the 'whatever' percent of illegal lawbreakers in our jails and prisons.]
"I am supportive of LEGAL immigration WHEN it suits public policy."
OK - google 'Lou Dobbs' - go to his "Official Lou Dobbs Site". You will find there this information and be able to watch the video of his explanations.
Some of this is somewhat ambiguous to me. I emailed him (there is a Contact Me offer in the upper right area of the site). I explained the turmoil of his former faithful supporters at ALIPAC and said that knowing he was on vacation in Florida, asked that either he or his 'people' get in contact with William and ALIPAC quickly so these ambiguities can be cleared up before he loses thousands of avid supporters and $666,000 in pledges in our "Lou Dobbs for President" pledge site.
Maybe a LOT of us should do this - not writing to berate him, but asking for clarification of his positions. There will be plenty of time for nasty emails to him later if you choose. Right now, we want clarification and understanding between us and him. After he expounds on specifics in an interview with him, hopefully (or his staff), we can either up our pledge or stone him verbally in emails. Fair enough? I believe we've gone about as far as we can reasonably go through this without clarification from Lou. Personally, I am not ready to give up on him until I hear clear specifics of his illegal alien policy. :|
Let's let Lou hear from us en masse requesting more specific thoughts and ideas he has. Hatefilled tirades can wait a week or two until we all calm down and get a firmer grip on this whole thing.
Dobbs, smobbs--send him back to CNN. NUFF SAID. Just another Progressive trying to sneak in our back door. CaNN him.
I wish I could go on international TV and apologize for almost everything I ever said that ever offended anyone by claiming that what I said was three or four years ago, and therefore no longer relevant. At least he stuck to his defense of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio; sealing the border; and that he actually showed up for the interview which took amazing guts. I will reserve passing judgement on this man for the time being.
I thought the interview (given the situation and the opportunity to directly communicate with mostly legal hispanics) was pretty much on target. He stressed that unless we've guaranteed the border security, no solution to dealing with current illegals can be effective. In the end, he enlisted the support of telemundo to find a solution, instead of inciting their listeners to be anti-American. He held out his hand and they'll either take it, or bite it. Let's all keep in mind that Lou has an opportunity to get border security accomplished, if we support him. If we turn against him over this one interview; then we're just shooting ourselves in the foot. The more supporters that Lou has; the bigger his stick will be when it comes time for real action.

Yes, Redoaklady - I am also on central time, and I set mine at GMT - 6 hours. The correct time shows now for me. I wasn't sure exactly how to figure it, so I just tried a few settings until it worked. You're not hopeless as you suggested, several of us also had ours set wrong for a while.
Instead of turning the tables on the interviewer and outlining a good defense, he flopped on his first televised interview! His first one! Totally passive and ummmm SPINELESS, is that the word? Good show Lou and good luck running for the Democratic party!
I would never trust him in office.
I've been watching Lou for a number of years and this video was most definitely in contrast to what he has been saying on the subject of illegal immigration. To say that I'm upset, angry, frustrated or even pissed doesn't seem to do it justice!
I'm willing to hear his explanation once someone confronts him regarding this broadcast and the thoughts of all these fine Patriotic Americans who are tried of Washington DC at it's finest. What have you to say Lou? :?:
I am not surprised at what I heard. Lou has never said that he was for sending them back and that is why he will never get my vote. Yes, he is very determined to get border security but that is not enough for me. I want everyone who has disrespected our country by ignoring our immigration laws to be sent home. I have no problem with them being able to go to the back of the line and apply to come here the right way AFTER they are sent back. If they had truly wanted to come here legally the very least I would have expected would be for them to save up the money that they send home so that they could go home and afford to apply. (After all, I can't count how many times I've had them tell me that it's 'too expensive' and 'takes too long'. Oh boo hoo! My grandparents did what they had to do to come here from Mexico legally and so should everyone else.)
Nope, my vote will go to someone who refuses to cave in to the liberal idiots and reward these lawbreakers with amnesty of any kind.[/b]
Thank-you Lou Dobbs for your stupid-a$$ interview on the ethnocentric network TELEMUNDO! It appears your pandering has indirectly resulted in ALIPAC getting more new recruits in a shorter period of time than I have ever seen since joining 10 months ago. Because most of them are angry about your pandering, as are most ALIPACers. Thank-you Dobbs!
Though this is a longer thread than usual, I think there are proportionately many more recruits than usual. There are new ALIPACers on almost every page. There are nine new recruits just on the current page, that have joined in the past three days! Their first posts were on this thread.
YEA!!!!! Welcome to all new recruits!!!
Now Dobbs, we'll see if you can save yourself and have all this support for yourself, instead of having all this as your opposition. Not to mention also the $600,000+ dollars ALIPAC has worked hard to get donated for your election campaign, much of it donated just since you quit CNN a couple weeks ago!!
See the potential here Dobbs??! All this is yours IF and only IF you can adequately clarify to ALIPAC and/or William Gheen, ALIPAC President, your questionnable comments to the ethnocentrists.
This is more recruits in one time than I've seen in my 4 years here.Quote:
