PLEASE RANK DHS PUBLIC PROPOSALS SEPT. 08 & 09!

    PLEASE RANK DHS PROPOSALS NOW!
    http://www.homelandsecuritydialogue.org/dialogue2/

REMINDER: The public has September 8 and 9* to prioritize broad proposals made by the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY. There are six categories. Someone posted earlier that it seems more important that we complete prioritizing within all these categories first because the "discussion" areas are quite lengthy.

    From their Homepage:

Inform the work of the QHSR Study Groups – Participate in the National Dialogue

    Prioritize homeland security mission objectives

Tell us what you think must be done to achieve the objectives or share other ideas

Discuss, rate and comment on others' ideas

    Rank our proposals so far

    Get involved with the discussion

UPDATE: DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY EXTENDS ONLINE COMMENT PERIOD FOR STAKEHOLDERS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced that the National Dialogue on the Quadrennial Homeland Security Review has been extended until Wednesday, September 9th due to overwhelming participation from homeland security partners and stakeholders across the nation.

As a nation, we face a number of common threats and we recognize that homeland security is a shared responsibility. The QHSR is a critical part of DHS’s efforts to review and refine the nation’s collaborative approach to homeland security.

The QHSR mission study groups have further delineated the homeland security goals from the first dialogue into objectives.

We are asking you to prioritize these mission objectives and tell us how you think these objectives might be achieved.

The Risk and Planning & Capabilities study groups have also further refined their thinking, and are interested in stakeholder feedback on specific, tough questions they are currently considering.

The content you will see is the actual work product of the QHSR study groups; it is not final, vetted DHS policy. Your comments will feed directly into the study groups’ deliberations as they frame options for homeland security decision makers.

    Added:
*REMINDER: DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY'S ONLINE COMMENT FORUM OPEN UNTIL WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Labor Day may have ended, but the National Dialogue on the Quadrennial Homeland Security Review will be open until Wednesday, September 9th! Log on today and tomorrow and give DHS your input on its homeland security objectives and priorities.

I went in and rated some objectives.

Did you see any on the fact that the DHS has targeted patriotic, white Americans as a threat and calling them names like White Supremacist? And the fact that they are targeting whites at the insistent of the anti-white organization SPLC?

I think someone needs to write that one.

    Reply:
I think it would be a mistake to comment on that forum that the SPLC (or any other organization) is "anti-white". They seem to be "anti-anyone who disagrees with the SPLC". Plus, I think making such an (unverifiable) comment about any individual or group would only focus attention unnecessarily on race rather than on solutions for halting massive illegal immigration into the United States, which adversely affects citizens and legal residents of all colors, and which is our purpose here.

Yes, you can either go to "Rank Our Proposals So Far" to rate clusters of ideas or to "Get Involved in the Discussions" to comment or, more importantly now, VOTE on ideas people have submitted.

There are plenty of topics/suggestions on there now so I think either voting up or down on the proposals that have been submitted would be better than submitting a duplicate proposal.. But read the proposal carefully to make sure you fully understand it, and then vote up to five stars if you think it is a high priority for DHS or one star if not--or if it has no votes yet and you don't like it simply do not vote on it.

And you can also rate proposals within a category on a sliding scale. At first I didn't realize that in any cluster of subjects one could also subtract points from one part ( if you think it isn't as much of a priority) to gain points to add them to parts you think are a priority.

Please keep all comments respectable and don't rant. From what I understand law groups should not be posting on there on matters that affect any of their clientele who are foreign principals since this is not specifically a judicial or criminal proceeding. This is a general public review by officials affecting policy and therefore not exempt under any attorney-client privilege. At least that is my understanding of the FARA Act.

Seems to be a large number of Pro-ILLEGAL "ideas" submitted and they are being voted up and several of the Pro-Citizen "ideas" are being voted down. I have noticed that several "ideas" have been submitted by Immigration Lawyers and all have been Pro-ILLEGAL.
