Congress's all time approval worst in Gallup History...

For those interested in reading it.

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/145238/Congr ... story.aspx

Worst congress polls in history of Gallup since Gallup started in 1975 with polling. Looking at the polls democrats have lost all faith in congress in the last couple months plummeting to trash numbers. In December they reached the all time low. Now of course Dems in control republicans were low in the score anyways. Independants which lean closer to dems and dems however... As December is the all time low for Dems while the dems accomplished all their goals but the Dream Act which didn't get voted on until after the poll was done. This suggests to me the killing point with many Dems was the dream act. The polls were significantly higher after obamacare was passed on the dem side, the tax stuff or even start shouldn't of created such a downward quick turn.

But will the Dems take the hint that they are out of touch with their constituents and very likely because of the Dream Act and being pro illegal alien?

At least for me a couple years ago I considered myself a democrat but felt better at place as an independant since I tended to agree with some issues on the far left and some on the far right and mostly around the middle. I was one of those who supported Obama with his nice talk mainly because I felt the other side was a worse choice. However Myself and friends of mine who tended to feel the same way are now leaning more Rep simply because of his stance on immigration and pushing for mass Amnesty.

So yah, I'm here because I a few years back was on the other side (never for illegal immigration thou) , felt out of touch being more middle ground. But now forced to join in and take a stand against the ramblings of a crazed lunatic known as Obama. So I wonder how many more are like myself, outcast from the side who we thought had our interests and shoved to the other side in hopes they will fix the crap all over 1 key issue... illegal immigration. Sure others bothered me just like friends but in politics you take the good with the bad. Just the Dream Act was taking it way to far.

This poll suggests to me because of the timeline dem voters waking up to the insane leadership in the Dem party mainly when comes to illegals.

I was a registered Independant until the primaries, I switched to Republican so I could have my vote counted. I have since switched back, mainly because I lean toward neither party, and I damn sure owe NO loyalty to any of them. As an American I have always tended to vote for the candidate that represents my opinions closest, but over the past 20 years that has failed me... politicians will say and/ or do anything to remain in power.

I always used to be a "live and let live" kind of person, but that changed too! Some in my family are surprized at how "rabid" I have become, but I have been thru the Immigration thing even though technically I shouldn't have had to. I was born American and I remain American down to the core, but being Native I have family on both sides of the US- Canadian border.

Recently I was left property in NY, I feel if I have to pay the exorbitant NY taxes I should be voting there. So, once again I will be switching where I am registered. I WILL be actively against Chucky Schumer, Gillibrand and any other liberal who runs. They have run my beloved NY State into the ground! All in the name of "diversity".

Syanis and nomas, I hear you and appreciate the frustration, I truly do. I'm a Republican, from a family of Republicans who have been Republican since there were Republicans. My great grandfather volunteered at the age of 18 to join the Union Army to fight and die if necessary to free the slaves and end slavery in the United States. His great grandfather, my great-great-great grandfather joined the Continental Army to fight and die if necessary for American independence from Great Britain to create the United States. My family like so many others has been here a long long time and collectively contributed much to our nation and the ideals for which it stands.

Interestingly, Republicans have always been and still are the minority party in the United States with less members by far than the Democratic Party, despite the fact that it was Republicans who ended slavery, established civil rights, fought for women and their right to vote, fought for workers rights and safe working conditions, fought for secure borders and protected trade to protect our businesses, workers and economy, established the first child labor laws, laws that protected women in the work force, the first worker safety laws, the first minimum wage laws, the first 40 hour work week, first automatic over-time, built the first intercontinental railroad, the interstate highway system, dedicated our first national parks, established OSHA and the EPA, passed the Sherman Anti-Trust Act to protect competition, workers and consumers, and fought against both the creation of the mandated income tax code and the existing Federal Reserve System.

It's so ironic that the party that actually has the members who throughout its history have given and done so much to fulfill the ideals of our nation remains to this day the minority party of the United States.

    Go Figure.

In ways it makes sense to me. The republicans have always been more of the group for the rich and wealthy, least those in power. They have tended to push more stuff that benefits the upper middle class to the rich. The democrats were more for the working man or so it seemed for a long time. Those who aren't getting a fair shake trying to provide for their families in a toughening world having it hard providing basics for the family. Thats originally why I was a democrat because they seemed to favor those on the bottom of the totem pole who were working. (least this is how myself and many have understood it).

However these days it seems like all that has gone to the wayside. The republicans remain about the same, first priority the wealthy and then the citizens. However dems seem to be more about the illegal and the deadbeat poor who refuse to work also promoting handouts and freebee's..

We saw it with healthcare reform, I think all agree healthcare reform needs to happen its all about how. However dems weren't so interested in making it affordable for the honest working man but instead handouts to deadbeats and giving it to those who don't care about improving themselves. Seriously why should anyone to lazy to work or to try and better themselves be paid for by the working man? This is where I think the Dem party have lost their constituents.

This is why I think if the Rep party came lower themselves a little and reach a bit further across the line the majority will come to them with ease.

Next election, it isn't going to matter if you are a republican, democrat or independent. Illegal immigration and the threats it brings are too numerous to calculate. This infestation is no longer confined to California, Arizona and south Texas. Those states have had problems for a number of years. Other states, not feeling the effects up close and personal weren't affected. Due to lack of construction work and due to SB1070, many illegals just moved north and east. Contrary to the MSM, the majority did not return to Mexico and further south. It is now 'in your face' in all 50 states; hence, there are now 25 states proposing legislation to stop it. That count is up from 22. The state count needs to be over 40. IMHO, even liberal progressives who think open borders and amnesty is a good idea, once they or those they love suffer dearly at the hands of these criminals they will change their tune.

I totally agree with you.I am a Independent but I will not be voting for any Democrats until they come to their senses because I am Not a socialist nor do I in anyway support favoring IA's over hard working US Citizens.

The Democratic Party has been Hi-Jacked by Socialists/Communists and it is sad to see.
