Angle is Not a Racist, Latina Relative Says

The series of Sharron Angle's campaign ads portraying Latinos as criminals were not racist, the Nevada candidate's daughter-in-law said Friday.

Jessica Angle defended her mother-in-law's television spots to a Spanish-language radio station in Reno, KQLO.

But Angle conceded that the ads -- contrast images of sullen, dark-skinned immigrants against terrified pale families -- were initially were difficult to watch.

The ads slam Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for defending policies that would allow undocumented immigrants to become legal residents. Some Hispanic groups have declared the commercials the most anti-Hispanic political spots in history.

The ads do not reflect her family, Angle said, because her Mexican parents entered the United States legally.

They are not anti Hispanic ads, it is anti illegal alien and unfortuately it is mostly Hispanics that are illegal.
