How to support anti-amnesty without supporting Gilchrist

I need some advice. On Nov 19, 2009, I will be attending an immigration forum at UNR in Reno that Gilchrist has been invited to attend as a panel member. I don't support Gilchrist, I personally think that he is a nut case. The problem is, Gilchrist is the panelist for the anti-amnesty side, which is my side. How do I craft my words to support anti amnesty for illegals without supporting Gilchrist?

Why not get rid of Gilchrist and invite William Gheen instead ?

Gilchrist is a nut case we do not trust with such an important issue.

    Oh

"You do not need to be a Gilchrist Minuteman to oppose illegal immigration"

Get that printed on an 11 x 17 sheet of paper and wear something that lets you hide it rolled up put it up a sleeve.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I wish we could invite Gheen. I did suggest it on the UNR site, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Hey, Richard, that is exactly what I'm going to open my statement with if I get the chance to speak. And yes, I will print that on a T-Shirt and wear it! TY!

Maybe I'm just being overly worried, but I really, really don't want to give Gilchrist any kind of support at all.

    Whose side is UNR on?

It seems that our opposition want nuts jobs like Gilchrist to represent our point of view so no-one will listen to them.

    THAT"S A PERFECT REMEDY!!!! LOL!

Gilchrist is an open borders, possibly CIA plant to syphon off anti-illegal immigration supporters, confuse the issue, make ALL anti-illegal immigration groups look like crazies and jepordize the credibility of everyone and anyone who speaks up against open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens. They know he's looney tunes enough to do and say anything that will damage the credibility of any of the Minuteman groups and he already has. He was easily taken in and swayed by Huckabee's handlers. That's why they (possibly the gov't and La Raza supporters) fund him. He's an ex-marine....when they're through with him and he's done their bidding to make all ex military personnel look crazy if they take a stand against illegal immigration, they'll drop him like a warm sack of sh*t.

Don't sit too close to him while you're there. You don't want to catch anything! It could be detrimental to your mental health! LOL!

What is UNR ? Are they for amnesty ? If not than I'd go to protest amnesty .

The enenmy of our enemy is our friend .

Seems all those against us have already figured this out . You don't see them fighting each other in public . I'm sure they fight, but they keep it in the ' family' .

Some of us take risk and work hard to stop this insanity , too hard to let others make it for nothing .

Why did they invited Gilchrist? He has been sued by other Minutemen and immigration enforcement leaders and lost. He only has about 50 followers at this point, he hasn't done a border watch for five years, he basically only represents himself.

Maybe you should put that on your sign, Gilchrist only represents himself, not Americans.

Maybe the sign should read "Gilchrist is a narcissist and does not represent those who actually want secured borders"........

Everyone is right, he is a nut case, but maybe even worse, keep your distance from him, he might accuse you of something you did not do, which is what he did to many leaders in this movement, who would not support him and were speaking out against him. This is typical behavior of a narcissist, which was once called a "sociopath". Someone who will do anything, to anyone, in order to promote themselves.

UNR is the University of Nevada Reno. I posted two stories about the immigration panel that the students are hosting:
