Dear Sir/Madam

Honestly, you need to back off of the Columbia protestors.

These students are heros in my eyes, passionatly supporting a group of people against a hate group (yes, the minuteman project constitutes a hate group...you guys are close).

My family has been in this country since the early 1700's....and have lived in the tri-state area ever since.

I am disgusted at your anti-American attitudes towards immigration, if the rules you are requesting were in place over the past 200 years none of you would be here, so back off and give people a chance to feed their families.

I am studying in Colorado at the moment, and am disgusted with the political atmosphere in many of the communities out here.

but despite all the hate, I am pround of the success more progressive Coloradans have had defending Mexicans that are simply trying to put food on the table against the likes of Mr. Allard and Mr. Tancredo who would rather just let their children starve.

This is a fight you will lose, don't make yourselves look even worse than oyou already do.

Leave Columbia alone.

Read not only what Bryan Jones says but, also HOW he says it.

He describes himself as a doctoral candidate and that is both alarming and sad.

His ability to spell simple words is pathetic. His context arrangement lacks clarity and more importantly he is unfamiliar with the history of this country.

His communication skills, or lack thereof, are more indicative of a high school dropout.

Our ranking in education, among other countries in the world, was 18 in 2002.

That ranking has been steadily declining at an alarming rate and it is now 28 or worse.

He stands as an example of the shoddy educational level of American students and the slanted curriculum of political correctness now pervasive in American schools.

The lowering of academic standards in this country to accommodate a politically correct agenda is a shameful travesty and will harm America more than can be imagined..

History reflects that this country was built by European immigrants working together and the veracity of that assertion will stand up to any research or scrutiny.

Those pouring unabated into our country now, at this point in time, are primarily Third World.

It will not take long for this country to be overwhelmed by such an onslaught.

The answer to poverty, ignorance and oppression is not in the destruction of this or any other civilized and developed country.

Millions upon millions of legal and illegal immigrants streaming unabated and without control into any country, will destroy that country and that destruction will not take long.

The answer is for those same people to aggressively promote reform and actually transform their countries of origin.

A country, any country, is no better than it’s citizens and no country can be transformed without the determination of those people. Are you listening Americans?

The threat of global conflict is always with us and unfortunately the unrest and animosity on this planet makes that threat more and more likely to happen.

Is it necessary to draw attention to the level of hatred directed at America and Americans?

A country whose society is divided into cultural enclaves and a country that is not self-sufficient will not survive.

Call it GLOBALISM.... Call it NAU... Call it whatever you like.. but view it for what it is in reality.

How on earth will this country defend itself and provide itself with what is vital when there are no factories?

What happened to our pride in Made In America? What happened to Made In America?

Proponents of Globalization sneer and call that Nationalism... as if that is something to be ashamed of.

With our manufacturing capabilities of domestic goods, technology and national defense contracted out to other countries and our borders not secure then we are not only vulnerable...
But we are, quite simply, sitting ducks just waiting to be defeated and occupied.

Are we, as Americans, willing to watch our country disappear and accept Open Borders and Globalization?

It that situation even defensible?

Is that what we are resigned to? ... Marge

Hey Bryan,
Let me assure you that your comments seem to be far of base. When a group of people protest and storm the stage as happened at columbia it tells me they are close minded and do not care what others think, and by interrupting, they are denying the speakers the right of the first amendment of the constitution. Instead of protesting and interrupting a speach, your so called heroes should have listened and then afterwards with these members sitting in the lobby walk up to them and talk to them and debate the issue. Since you claim that they are heroes, please explain your thinking on this matter...
You say that the Minuteman and other groups like it are hate groups. I tend to differ. As an American whos family has been in this country as long as yours, I find the minuteman, alipac, fairus, save our states, grassfire.org, and others to simply be doing the jobs that the federal government is NOT enforcing. While your at it, please tell me how these groups can be hate groups when their membership is made up of White, Black, Asian, AND hispanics? do your reasearch before you make comments like this.
There are no anti-American attitudes except from those who are coming here saying this is their land, and they are here to reclaim it in the name of AZTLAN. those are the ones who say american should not exist. Real americans like me do not share this attitude so therefore I am not anti-american.
There are laws already on the books that say if you enter the US illegally, and not at a port of entry or border patrol checkpoint that you are breaking the US laws. All these groups want is for that law to be enforced. There is nothing wrong with wanting these laws to be enforced either.
You claim that these people are only coming here to do work and feed their families, if this is true, why are they NOT taking the time to do to proper paperwork, get visas and green cards? IF they are her eto work, what about those who come here, commit violent crimes, like rape, burglary, kidnapping, and murder and then run back to mexico like the scared chickens that they are? do you know that on average 12 people are murdered each day by illegals? and another 13 on average a day are killed by ILLEGALS driving DRUNK?? Did you know that in southern California that 100 hospitals have had to close or went into bankrutcy because of all the free care that have been given to those who are undocumented workers? and here is one, Bisbee, AZ, in the southeast part of the state, the only hospital in the town of 6000 had to file bankruptcy because of the mexican nationals who would come across the border and take free medical care. Now with that hospital closed, the closet on to bisbee is now 75 miles one way down a two lane highway. is that fair for the people of bisbee?? i dont think so.
NOW the key word in all of this is ILLEGAL. illegal means you did something against the law.
Like the raids at the swift plants last month those people were arrested for 1. being in the country illegally. 2 possession of forged or stolen documents 3. using said documents to fraudently obtain work.
that is three crimes alone. How would you feel if you foound out that your grandparents or an elderly family member was told "you cant have these benefits because according to our recors, your working in denver making 35K a year hanging drywall" well, this actually happened to a lady who lives in the western part of colorado. Look it up. Or how about the lady in texas who was expecting an IRS refund and instead got a letter from the IRS claiming she owed 12,000 in back taxes because she had been working at a SWIFT plant in cactus, texas for five ears? the lady didnt even know where cactus was and had never worked for swift....

If you read the polls you will understand that based on which poll you read that 75-85 percent of Americans do not have a problem with people coming here legally. Its those who come here ILLEGALLY, demand services which are only meant for US citizens, (use welfare, food stamps and other government aid), demand we speak their language, and adjust to their culture. That will never happen because there are too many people from all countires of the world who come here in search of a better life. they come here LEGALLY.
IF you are wanting illegals to be here and you watch them commite crimes and kill people, are you going to show sympathy for the family of those murdered or for the illegal? do you seem to remember the killing of a Denver police officer in 05 at the hands of an illegeal who was mad that he could not get into a private party that was for invitation only. He wentto his car, came back and shot the officer and another officer who was offduty and working security at the party. This coward ran back to mommy in LA and then fled to Mexico.

Remember illegal is not a race. Illegal are lawbreakers.

You might have to crash your car into his family to make him understand how it normally works. Nothing says illegal like a DUI!!
