Thread: My Letter to Open Border Folks

You may find this to be quite confusing, but I completely and utterly disagree with your communistic and partially racist push for illegal immigration. Why is this? Who am I to disagree? And why should you care? You may ask yourself these questions.

Well. I am a moderate-liberal. I agree with environmental protection and even advocate for marijuana legalization and taxation. I am a Christian and put God before all else, I treat everyone in the world with the same respect and dignity and I am an Eagle Scout. I was raised to believe that no matter what color a man or women’s skin, no matter what brand their clothes and no matter how new and nice their car that every person is equal.

Weird, that a person of my thinking and upbringing would disagree with your fight to secure protections and rights for illegal aliens. Heck, I should be joining you with the hemp-braided hippies in their tye die shirts screaming, but I am not.

The problem is that you can’t fight facts and facts just do not support your cause, since I base all of my beliefs on facts this leaves me no choice but to disagree with you.

FACT. Illegal immigration is simply that, ILLEGAL. It’s the first and most simple fact that you need to recognize when looking at this issue. The federal government in 1965 set up their laws on immigration and now companies and smugglers are aligning to help millions break that law, which in effect is another violation of that same federal law.

FACT. Illegal aliens are less likely to obey other laws once within a nation. Why is this? Well it’s quite simple, they are breaking the law merely by being here. My grandpa, god rest his soul, once told me that once you tell a lie you will need to tell more lies to make that first lie believable and will keep lying until you finally get caught in your web of lies. The same can be said of a criminal who sneaks into a country. Once here they must continue committing crimes to keep from being deported (or as I like to call it, the consequence of breaking the law). These crimes can include such small things as stealing someone’s identity and using it to get a job, a bank account, a car and a home or more serious crimes like rape, murder and terrorism. Think of the two recent deaths caused by illegal aliens. Two teenage girls in Virginia Beach and a famous Hollywood director along with his son were all murdered by illegal aliens. If you had your way those illegal aliens would get permission to stay and could possibly commit more crimes.

FACT: A large percentage of MS13 thrives on the fact that they are here illegally. This gives them the stealth that they need to commit robberies, hustle drugs and murder anyone who gets in their way. Recently the Los Angeles Police Department announced that they will start checking the immigration status of criminals that they arrest, why is this? Well even L.A.’s open borders mayor and council can not deny that a large portion of their crime comes from people here illegally and that the problem can be fixed through enforcement.

FACT: Illegal Immigration is nothing new to the USA, in fact one of our greatest Presidents of all time was forced to deal with the issue. President Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback” sent millions of illegal aliens to their home countries and the nation’s citizens’ income level and quality of living all rose afterwards.

FACT: In the meat packing industry alone wages have fallen 23% from $20/hr to $9/hr while the price of beef, chicken and pork have been on the rise. I know, I used to work in the processing side of a plant now owned by Tyson Inc.

FACT: An illegal alien who over stayed his visa was one of the ring leaders and pilots that flew a plane into the World Trade Center on 9-11. Our system should have caught and deported him, but was too backlogged and inefficient to catch him or the other 10’s of thousands who overstayed their tourist Visa’s.

FACT: Cleaning, Construction, Landscaping, Cooking and other jobs were and are being done by American workers around the country. The problem is that employers and businesses want to cut their cost by hiring cheap labor and thus increasing their profits. American workers can not, and will not work for the near slave wages of illegal aliens. Nor will they work for the hours that violate labor laws and conditions that do not adhere to OSHA guidelines.

FACT: Illegal Aliens that do not speak English force an unfair barrier to employment in many occupations. Take for example a high school student who comes from a less than middle class family. That student CAN NOT be hired in many big city fast food restaurants as a cook because they do not know Spanish and all of the regular workers speak only Spanish. This gives fewer job opportunities to a labor market which needs jobs the most and cuts the number of students hired in half or even less in some markets. Take a burger joint that hires 1 Manager, 3 cooks and 2 cashiers for each shift with two shifts per day. Well the manager must know Spanish to speak to the cooks so there are 4 out of the 6 positions that must be filled by someone who speaks Spanish. In Dallas this is representative of most restaurants.

FACT: Foreign language in restaurant kitchens can cause tragic health problems. If a kitchen is ran in Spanish, but the rest of the restaurant is ran in English then there are bound to be things lost in translation. Normally this causes small things like orders that are messed up, but the consequences of saving a few pennies can be much worse. For example if a man and woman are ordering dinner and the woman tells the waiter that she is allergic to shellfish, but the man orders shellfish then the waiter passes on the info and all the kitchen staff gets in Spanish is “lobster order” and cooks the dishes with the same cookware or even at one point cooks the woman’s food and the mans food on the same grill WITHOUT cleaning this could lead to deadly allergic reactions from the woman at the table.

FACT: Illegal aliens overuse emergency rooms. Pick any border state and walk into the emergency room, look around and see how many people are there with minor injuries or colds as opposed to those with more serious and urgent care needs. Then request the fiscal years data from that same Hospital and see how much of a loss that Hospital incurred on their Emergency services. My understanding is that when Hospitals have a shortfall they apply for Federal Grants, but the rest of what they do not get back hits the local citizens in higher fees.

FACT: Illegal aliens have a direct effect on housing rates. Its supply and demand that drives economies here in the USA and the rental market is no different. An area that has a higher demand for housing will always have a higher rental rate, so more people means higher rent all around.

FACT: Auto Insurance rates are higher in areas with illegal immigration problems. Illegal aliens somehow are allowed to buy cars and get fake tags to drive them with. Since they are Illegal they do not get insurance coverage, when they wreck many run off, those who don’t run off are probably drunk and many times have killed or injured someone. All of this equals more accidents, more congested traffic and higher insurance rates. This also affects areas outside of the cities that allow/support illegal aliens because insurance companies are nationwide and assess higher rates on all drivers to cover the mistakes of those who shouldn’t even be here.

FACT: Mexico is the 10th richest nation in the world beating out Australia, Brazil and Russia and home to the world’s third richest billionaire (only after Bill Gates and Warren Buffet). So if Mexico’s oil and other exports get it into the top 10 and one man there can beat out Sultans, Tycoons, Kings and Moguls then what is so wrong with the rest of the country? Mexico’s government is highly corrupt for starters it is also ran by business interest and not by the interest of the people. If I were President of the USA I would secure our southern border and force Mexico to reform by instituting welfare programs, making sure everyone in the country has running water and electricity and that the country’s education system began to improve.

FACT: Mexico is very strict on illegal immigration. In fact Mexico has a lot of problems with illegal aliens coming up from their southern neighbors and taking jobs from Mexicans. Sound familiar? Mexico and the USA could solve both of our problems by securing our Southern Border, because most of Mexico’s illegal aliens are heading for the USA but stop short in Mexico for various reasons.

FACT: ICE is continuing operations that target companies that hire illegal aliens and lure them into our nation. We should help ICE in their operations and encourage deportees to help us help them improve their home country. I also believe in giving those deported brochures and other information to help them apply for legal status here in the states.

FACT: Remember those illegal gangs I mentioned? Turns out there are some that are waging a racial war against black Americans in L.A. However, when someone disagrees with the Spanish language or illegal immigration your groups call them racist.... odd. Seems to me that there are many racist ILLEGAL hispanics out there.

FACT: We cannot take the entire world in and limits must be set to maintain our way of life. This is not to say we should stop immigration, but to lower our immigration levels and instead encourage higher wages for native-born and legal Americans.

Very fact base letter, the OBL probably will not bother reading past the first fact because the truth hurts.

But if you just happen to receive a response to this letter.

sure but you might want to edit out the beginning paragraphs and make it fit yourselves. I'd hate to see people saying that they support what I do without realizing it.
