Philanthropist Helps Illegal Aliens Go Home

Illegal aliens finding it more and more difficult to live illegally in the United States because of increased enforcement and a sluggish economy are getting some help through a new foundation. Philanthropist Henry Buhl has established the Coalition to Protect American Workers that helps illegal aliens repatriate to their home countries, which in turn, opens up job opportunities for Americans.

The Coalition to Protect American Workers says its less expensive to pay the costs for illegal aliens who want to return home than for the federal government to find them and execute a deportation order.

According to a press release issued by the coalition: "privately funded repatriation can be achieved typically at less than 10 percent of full federal detention and deportation costs. This is a savings to the American taxpayer and affords a more dignified departure from America for the illegal immigrant."

The coalition also says that an amnesty plan similar to the one advocated by Senate leaders last year could potentially put millions of Americans out of work.

The coalition's website allows for individuals to make contributions to the effort and also provides testimonials from illegal aliens who took advantage of the service.

While I like the general idea here, I'm more than a little suspicious that CPAW's money will just be spent on temporary "free" trips home for the illegals. Give them a week or so and they'll be right back here again.

It would just be a free vacation for the illegals to visit family and friends in their homeland. They will be back, no doubt about it.

Why not put that money toward Border Patrol or the fence?

It would be of better use to us than sending the illegals on a vacation, only to return to the U.S. in no time flat.

I wonder if there is a way to combine this "free" send back trip with fingerprinting--which is the usual drill when deported? If so, I could see this as a possibility. If they tried to return, we would have that information on record.
