I woke up from a sound sleep last night. Aside from all of the ususal talking points we all go over time and time again, these 3 things were running through my mind:

Illegal Aliens granted citizenship will be eligible for Social Security benefits as well as a multitude of other Federal and State programs. Programs they have never paid into. (Want to get a Senior Citizen fired up about something? Mention Social Security)

By being given citizenship, most illegal aliens would be granted minority status and would be given preferential treatment in hiring, escpecially government hiring. Having not paid taxes or even followed the law, 10 million plus legitimized illegal aliens could get a job before a lifelong citizen or legal immigrant simply because of their minority status. (This is just wrong, it also breeds racism)

Also, by being given citizenship, illegal aliens would be given minority status and preference for college application and also granted in state tuition. (Think about what that does to our kids)

We really need to enlist our apathetic, but well meaning, family members and friends to make calls and send e-mails. I think these 3 points will get anyone with kids off the dime.

By the way, I hate the Republicans AND the Democrats. They all suck and don't care at all about us! I just had to say that!
