Asheboro Police speak to witnesses Wednesday evening after a robbery occurred at Aldi's on East Dixie Drive. Det. Tony Hasty said three armed Hispanic males wearing dark-colored hoodies took an unspecific amount of cash. No one was hurt. Police are seeking information on the distinctive vehicle they drove.

Three armed men robbed Aldi's Inc. on East Dixie Drive early Wednesday evening, and Asheboro police want to talk with anyone in the area Around 7p.m. who may have seen anything relevant to the robbery.
Det. Tony Hasty said three armed Hispanic males wearing dark-colored hoodies and masks came in the store and demanded money. Two were carrying handguns and the third had a l long gun - a shotgun or rifle. They were identified as Hispanic by their accents.
They were in the about 20 seconds, no one was hurt and they left with an unspecified amount of cash.
Hasty said they left in a white passenger car; either a Ford Crown Victoria or a Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle had distinctive black stripes on the passenger side Hasty said the stripes resembled a zebra or tribal stipe pattern.
Anyone who has seen the vehicle, its direction of travel vehicle, its direction of travel on Wednesday night or has any information that could be helpful should call the Asheboro Police Department at 626-1300 or Crime Stopper are anonymous.
Hasty said while there are similarities, these were not the same men who robbed 3 D Wireless on Dixie Drive in Asheboro or the Worthville BP earlier this month. Police are still seeking information on those robberies, too.
