Thread: anyone see this

on the news today they showed a story about a bunch of enraged Latin citizens somewhere here (didn't look like they'd been here too long) because one of the kids brought his mom's diabetes blood testiing kit to school and "tested" all his little friends and they found out one of them in the chain has the beginnings of HIV?

I saw it. It was in the Wilmington Star-News and Raleigh N&O, I think.

Who gets sued here?

Very unfortunate news today out of Miami-Dade County, Florida. At least 150 public school children are being tested for Tuberculosis. They said it was brought in by a student from his native country. They didn't say which country nor whether the student was here illegally or not. I would doubt they would include that information. I heard this around 6AM on either 104.3 or 101.5 or 102.7, I am not sure which one.

It is very unfortunate, and I believe everyone should be told the details, as this is so disturbing to hear. It is probably becoming more and more common.

I will listen and watch for more on this.

WHY AREN'T ALIENS GETTING TESTED???

DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE INTO AN AMERICAN SCHOOL WITHOUT COMPLETE TESTING FOR ALL & THAT INCLUDES HIV/AIDS.

This is NOT how our IMMIGRANTS {legal} came into this country in years past.

They require that students are up to date on their shots before entering the school system. Apparently it is okay to enter if you are not here legally. Gee, I wonder why Home Schooling is becoming so popular.

I attend a University and a couplpe of Quarters ago i was told to come into the health center for an MMR shot and i ask why and they had told me that an exchange student had measles and that everyone had to get the MMR shot and i told them that i had one in grade school becuase we all have to in order to enter and enroll in grade school. Anyhow i was 29 at the time and iam 30 and i took it anyhow becuase i couldnt get my files from overseas becuase parents where in the military. So i was rather disturbed that this had happenned and not suprise becuase we have a large population of exchange students from many eastern european countrys, Arab countrys and asian countrys. It came from an exchange student from Taiwan if you can belive that.

Actually you don’t have to take those shots if you object to them for religious reasons in most states. I took it before knowing about the option to opt out and got pretty sick from it.
