Thread: Michigan

Since moving from Arizona back to my home state of Michigan life has been good. This time I moved to Northern Michigan where there are barely any illegals and I feel like I am in the US. However, while visiting my loved ones in the Detroit area I noticed something that was quite disturbing. I am not sure if it is because of a crack down in the so and out west, but there is all of a sudden a lot more Spanish chattering every where you go in Oakland County. I spent most of my life around this area and before I could go a whole month without hearing that crap.

To top it off I saw Detroit politicians talking about something on the news that just about made me vomit. They were saying that they think the Detroit area needs more immigration to help out the area. They were also saying we need to offer more incentives to the foreigners to get them to move to Michigan. It absolutely breaks my heart to see my home area end up this way. However I was suspicious of this sort of thing happening to the metro Detroit area upon moving back, which was a big reason for my decision to move way up north.

I am not sure why a bunch of illegal Mexicans would want to move to a state that has been coming down on them and has hard core winters, but they are surely making their way into the Detroit area. Like I said, I was suspicious of something like this moving back and I knew that if they ever did scatter to Michigan that they would go to Detroit's surrounding area.

More illegals=more government handouts=more money for local business =taxpayers footing the bill. Consumer based/ government run society cannot sustain itself been tried before in Russia, Cuba,etc, yet the left still demands it.

The far left must be voted out it has become a mix of radicals/socialist/communists IMO./

It's a cancer that is spreading everywhere. I can't imagine why Detroit politicians would focus on foreign immigration rather than American emigration. Why aren't they trying to attract Americans to that area?

There's no doubt about that, a lot of Detroiters have moved away in the last decade!

And a cancer it is, I knew when the other states began cracking down that they might scatter to Michigan and if they did it would be to Detroit. I hope and pray they never invade way up north here.

Many business simply don't care where the money comes from they want to sell beer, cell phones, groceries and I understand that however the money to buy those things in many cases is supplied by we the taxpayer, through WIC, food stamps,etc.

Here on the southern border you see illegals driving $40K pickups, while they make perhaps $20K per year they are supplied via government, school, medical,housing, food, etc. So basically the illegal income may equal that of a middle class individual making $45K and buying his own food, cell phones, etc.

Basically it's redistribution of wealth all shakes down to socialism/communism at end of the day.

Illegal invaders are everywhere now drama! They are akin to an invasive species, destroying everything in their path when allowed to anchor down into a community. There's no escaping them any longer. They’re far and wide and it's only getting worse.
