I need some guidence on emailing local media

I watched a local uhf news channel last night for the first time. They were having another follow-up on the "May Day protest". I was amazed and discusted at what they said which is below.

    Local News
Hispanic Economic Impact on the Silver State
Nevada ranks fifth in the nation in the percentage of immigrants living in the Silver State. Seven out of every ten come from Central or South America. This according to a recent report released by PLAN – the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada.
According to the report, immigrant workers contribute about 25 percent of net profit for the entire state of Nevada.
If Nevada follows the immigration patterns of the rest of the country, the best estimate is that 60-thousand workers here are undocumented. Many local businesses say they feel the impact.
Rafael Reyes is the owner of Stingray Productions, a tattoo and piercing shop that’s been in business along Wells Avenue for 25 years.
Reyes says being in an area highly populated by Latinos helps his business, and his not surprised by the findings of the report.
“We come to a country we’re going to try to flourish just like anybody else,” he said.
The UN reports that more than 170 million people live outside of their countries of birth. Most of them are in search of a better life.
“If I told you Canada was doing $100 an hour for the same job you’re doing, you’d be going to Canada,” Reyes said. “It’s about the money, we all look for it, we all chase it, and we all want to prosper.”
Nevada reaps big benefits from the more than 50 million visitors each year.
The report says Hispanic immigrant employment and spending creates more than 100-thousand jobs in Nevada. It also said immigrants paid 44 percent more in taxes last year than they did in 2000; that’s $2.6 billion in federal taxes and $1.6 billion in state and local taxes.
Most immigrants are unable to access the public services they paid for because they are here undocumented.
Some Reno residents say they don’t mind immigrants flowing into the Silver State, so long as they’re here legally.

I am seeing a few incorrect statements here, and the numbers seem way way off. They did their best to keep the word "illegal" out until the end. The part about them not being able to use the public services they paid for?

Anyway, I email the station manager (who's name is Ramos) and asked them if they verified anything they reported on. I am sure I closed that door when I clicked "send", but can anyone give me advise on how to correctly email these bias media sources?

Another funny thing, I taped that show, and where they quote Reyes above, left out one word he said on camera. "“It’s about the money, we all look for it, we steal it, we all chase it, and we all want to prosper.” I could be wrong, but I watched it over and over to make sure
Have you ever stopped to think, and forget to start again?

Good luck! The media is extremely bias in favor of illegal immigrants in most cases. I wrtoe a letter to the editor in the Miami Herald and they edited what they printed as I clarified what someone esle wrote. I asked why should it be illegal for an American to commit identity theft and is not for illegals? I also stated the information on a Social Security card that states improper use of it can result in fines and inprisonment or both.
I also called about my story being a legal immigrant and what I went through and no one would print that. The only person in the media who had me on their radio show was Joyce Kaufman as she is against illegal immigration.

    media contacts

    Welcome, Nightowl,

I agree with Swatchick that the media is predominently biased. That's why I get much enjoyment contacting them on the issue of illegal immigration.

    Some hints I hope help.
    > Stay polite! On of the hardest things to do. Write what you're thinking about, GET UP FROM THE COMPUTER, and do something else for a while, then go back and read it, and see if that is REALLY what you want to say.
    > Try to develop a rapport with multiple people at, on different shifts at your local TV, radio and newspapers. That way, if something you write, angers one of them, and they hit the delete key, the same message gets to more of them. At first, I BCC'd so they wouldn't know it was going to multiple people. I found I get better results if they KNOW that many folk are going to see the same message.
    > Give sources, if you can, which give info which support your idea, opinion, etc.
    > Keep it short, if possible. (I"m bad at this part ) . Value their time, and occasionally express understanding with someone you email frequently.
    >Give kudos, positive reinforcement, for ANY step toward balanced reporting. Let them know it's appreciated.
    >Never give up! This is vitally important, that we contact media. Even to the point of frustration. They need to hear from the MAJORITY side...ours.
    >You'll find your style, ....stick with it.
    >Ask for help here, ALIPAC folk are the best!!!!!

    Again, welcome,
    curiouspat
