I need some input on what you all think about Prop. 2 - the animal for food legislation.

I like the idea of treating them fairly and humanely, but I am concerned that this will raise the price too high and many Americans will turn to mexico and Canada for eggs, meat, and other farmed foods because it is cheaper.

This is especially concerning for me as a horse owner as the horse slaughter industry is a big controversy in that community. Since they have managed to outlaw a lot of the slauaghter here in the US, they have outsourced to Canada and mex where the animals have even LESS rights.
