Wife and her Family are from Vietnam.
I say if they pass this BS about making these 20 million people legal, the US government needs to refund her and her family the thousands of dollars they spent to LEGALLY! get into this country. Her mothers and sisters waited for years in a camp while her father came over here to get a job and work on getting them here. Now its like they have spit in their faces.

Welcome to the forum. I agree it is a major slap in the face to those who obey the laws and immigrate legally.

I agree, the problem is they won't do it. I don't know what it is about Chinese (I know they are FROM vietnam but are Chinese) people in general they don't seem to get angry about things like this. I personally would be out yelling at the white house in DC if I spent money and years of waiting to get here and this happens.

I am married into roughly 2 Vietnamese families - and an unofficial adopted member of another. We are talking 300+ people here...
Several paid 10,000 - 30,000 dollars in legal fees during as much as a decade of hard work to bring over LEGALLY brothers, sisters, wives and children.
GREAT IDEA!!!
Hell...
Have the several hundred thousand plus Vietnamese in California march in the streets with signs that say:
"Amnesty for Illegals Begs 100% Retroactive Tax Breaks for Us!"
=
Repeat for the Russians, Georgians, Filipinos, and who knows who else...
=Not serious about illegals, outsourcing and insourcing? Wait until magicians pull illegals out of their hats...

Seriously, this is a great idea. Count me ( a native born American) and my family of Filipino born legal immigrants in on any legal actions agains the US government for the discrimination they practice against legal immigrants.

That is SUCH a good point Mek86! How about it Mr. Kennedy, does a refund for the folks that came to this country LEGALLY sound "fair" to you?
I thought it was shameful the Bush pushed his (illegal) immigration agenda at the swearing in ceremony of legal immigrants who earned citizenship the right way. How utterly insulting! Had I been one of those new American
citizens, I would have had to fight the urge to spit on him.
