BONSALL -- Two men were arrested Sunday in connection with raping a woman and and stabbing her more than 75 times in a remote area near Bonsall.

Roommates Edgar Gomez, 23, and Cirilio Martinez, 20, were arrested at 6:35 a.m. by San Diego County sheriff's detectives and taken to the Vista Detention Facility.

Deputies said the men, both construction workers, are accused of luring a woman they knew to a remote spot in Bonsall, where Gomez allegedly raped her while Martinez allegedly stood as a lookout.


Sheriff's spokesperson Jan Caldwell said the alleged rape and stabbing happened the evening of Sept. 17 on a dirt road near the men's shared home. Following the alleged rape by Gomez, Martinez is accused of pulling out a knife and stabbing the woman more than 75 times.

Most of the injuries were superficial, Caldwell said, but at least four stab wounds are 2 or more inches deep.

The men also allegedly kicked the woman until she faked unconsciousness and they ran from the scene, Caldwell said.

The woman flagged down help from a passing motorist following the alleged attack, and is recovering from her injuries, Caldwell said.

I looked up the booking charges from the San Diego Sheriff Department, and guess what? This story fails to mention that there is Hold on both suspects, by I.C.E. Imangine that. I guess these guys may have been day laborers after all.

I live in Oceanside and I never heard this story. I can't believe that poor woman survived that. It is every womans worse nightmare...

BONSALL, Calif. -- A woman from Vista survived being stabbed 76 times after she was assaulted by two men and raped, detectives said.

The alleged incident happened last week in Bonsall. Over the weekend, San Diego County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men for the crime. Investigators said the men contacted the 30-year-old victim by cell phone, possibly through a mutual friend. They called her repeatedly until she finally agreed to meet with them to party, authorities said.

The men allegedly met with the victim at the intersection of Olive Hill and Mission roads in Bonsall on Monday, Sept. 17. The three drove down Olive Hill Road, where the men allegedly forced the woman up a dirt road.

"One man acted as a lookout. The other man raped her," sheriff's spokeswoman Jan Caldwell said. "Then afterward, the lookout took out a large knife and began to stab her."

When the victim feigned unconsciousness, the two men ran off.

"She lay there a little bit longer, made sure they were gone and then was able to get to the road and flag down a passerby, a Good Samaritan, who took her to the hospital," Caldwell said.

Most of the woman's stab wounds were superficial. Only a few went as deep as two inches, authorities said.

The woman gave deputies a detailed description of her attackers. The Sheriff's Department distributed composite drawings of the attackers, and citizens told authorities that they resembled two day laborers who worked in the area. Deputies arrested the suspects outside a convenience store in Bonsall.

The suspects are Edgar Gomez, 23, and Cirilio Martinez, 20. They are being held at Vista jail on several charges including rape and assault.

I am glad that no such crime has ever been committed on my family members or close friends (or anyone I know for that matter). I don't think that I would be able to contain my rage. I think that when I reacted the world would be a different place when I was done.

The sickening thing is, with these daily reports of hate crimes, is that they are ALL overlooked by the msm. There are so many crimes, besides the initial felony of trespass, that fall by the wayside comfortably out of public view.

What really sticks in my mind about this is the vulgar and malicious, psychotic and lustful pure hatred that runs thru the veins of illegal aliens. 76 times! To stab someone continously 76 tmes?!?! The crimes that these illegas are capable of is monstrous. Look at Ms. Countryman in Oregon...Stepping on her throat? I believe that this kind of behavior comes natural form them. I believe that an enhanced sense of entitlement brings out this animalistic murderous side. All one has to do is look at the blank emptiness in their eyes, this is the same look you will see in the eyes of all illegals. In my opinion this represents what illegals have to offer. This crime, as in all of the other violent crimes committed by illegals should leave blood on the Presidents hands. He should know that he is responsible for this crime. Bush, Graham, Kennedy and the legions of open borders zealots created these monsters, demons bread in some desert hell spawn and raised with no sense of human dignity or identity except that they are entitled to do whatever they wish. This is the face of illegal immigration. Murder and rape.

Duo plead not guilty to rape, attempted murder

VISTA -- Two undocumented construction workers accused of sexually assaulting and stabbing a woman in a remote area of Bonsall pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of forcible rape, attempted murder and torture.

Edgar Gomez, 23, and Cirilio Martinez, 20, are in jail with bail for each set at $250,000.

Prosecutor Christine Israel alleged the defendants conspired to meet the alleged victim on Sept. 17 in Bonsall, and when they got together, took her to another location.


"Mr. Gomez grabbed the woman by the neck and dragged her to a more remote area," Israel alleged. "Mr. Gomez and Mr. Martinez raped the woman in concert."

Martinez then stabbed the woman five times before they took some of her clothing and fled, the prosecutor alleged. Earlier reports from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department that the victim was stabbed or cut 75 times were erroneous, she said.

The woman managed to flag down a passing motorist. The defendants, who were roommates, were arrested Sunday.

Both men face two counts of forcible rape and one count of attempted murder. The charges include allegations that both men committed kidnapping and mayhem. Martinez is also charged with torture and allegations that he used a knife and caused great bodily injury. They are also being held on suspected immigration violations.
