Tx: Hutchinson Form Letter on E-Verify

Thank you for contacting me regarding E-Verify. I welcome your thoughts and comments on this issue.

E-Verify is a free and voluntary online programs that allows participating employers to electronically verify the employee eligibility of their newly hired employees. It is operated by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.

In March 11, 2008,G.R. 1105, the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009, was signed into law. This legislation extends the authorization of E-Verify through September 30, 2009

As Congress works to strengthen out nation's immigration policies, you may be certain that I will support legislation to extend and improve E-Verify.

I appreciate hearing from you and hope that oyu will not hesitate to contact me on any other issue of concern

    Sincerely
    Kay Bailey Hutchinson

I-9s need to be E-Verified in State Unemployment Offices - Why?

Currently, all states only have to E-Verify Migrate Farm Workers. Now, we all know these immigrants don't work on the farms long. So at the State Unemployment Offices they only have to E-Verify Migrate Farm Workers, all other Immigrants go into the workplace without being E-Verified.

Loophole is? When ICE goes in to check legal status of workers at the Employers- the employers states well the State's Unemployment Office sent the immigrant over. So the EMPLOYER IS NOT TO BLAME FOR HIRING THE IMMIGRANTS. The STATE did it
