NATIVO LOPEZ CALLS FOR NATIONAL BYCOTT
To prove that the U.S. cannot survive without illegal aliens, i.e., "bring the U.S. economy to its knees and send a stern message to Washington", Nativo (and other organizers) demand that on May 1st (a Communist holiday), ALL illegal aliens join the massive marches through all our major cities throughout our nation. If they cannot march, he is ordering them to stay home, not go to work, not go to school and not spend a penny.

Thanks to one of our great CCIR members who managed to get some "inside" information, we can now share additional data with you: This event has been months in the planning, and involves organizers from throughout the nation participating in conference calls and organizational meetings. It was learned that Chicago is the organizing center and May 1 will be dedicated to Burt Corona, the founder of Hermandad Mexicana Nacional.

On April 7, 2006, a press conference was held in Tijuana, Mexico. They are organizing in 20 states in Mexico to participate in the May 1 boycott/event. Sarah Knopp, L.A. Teacher's Union member is trying to get LAUSD to declare May 1 a holiday so that schools will not be penalized for students not attending on that day. Also, a member of the Southern California Anarchists' Federation said they will be cooperating on May 1 by trying to shut down the L. A. and Long Beach ports.

Los Angeles truck drivers will shut down and are asking for solidarity of ALL truck drivers across the country to shut down ports, railways and truck terminals. In addition to amnesty, they demand the right to form labor unions and "an immediate salary increase of 25%".

The purpose of this "Great American Boycott 2006" is to put enough pressure on Congress to A) Defeat the Enforcement bill (HR4437) and B) Force a nationwide "blanket" amnesty for ALL illegal aliens. Below are their demands:
o Immediate and unconditional legalization of all 12 million undocumented
o No border walls
o No criminalization of process or person
o Protect workers' rights and civil liberties
Their "message" will be the one now being chanted: "Today we MARCH - tomorrow we VOTE" (as they WILL do unless our government enforces our "Citizen Only" voting laws - which, to date, they have refused to do).

Since space prevents sharing ALL the groups supporting this event, just a few of interest include: Communist League - Communist Party USA, L.A. - Feminism Without Borders - Freedom Socialist Party - Iniciativa Mexicana Contra la Guerra (Mexico City) - International Socialist Organization - Project Islamic HOPE- Revolutionary Workrs Party of Argentina - Sexual Minorities Archives - US Cuba, Labor Exchange - Workers Solidarity Alliance.

I think it is very interesting that the web site is in English ... seems they want us to be afraid of what is going to happen...

I wish it were may 1. I want a day without having to look at illegals everywhere. But with my luck the ones around here don't know how to read anyway so they will still be out there making a nuisance of themselves in every store, every park, ever public place that you can go for free. Many walk around the malls here to be in the air conditioning.......
