What if Adolf Hitler had been deported?
Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, but he should have been deported. The non-enforcement of immigration laws, lax punishment and the lack of political will to prosecute and deport a foreigner, who had been convicted of high treason, resulted in one of the most tragic events in history. Hitler was an Austrian citizen, not a German citizen. Despite a push in 1924 by Bavarian Minister President, Knilling, the Bavarian Police, Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, Munich and many others, Hitler was not deported and was let back out on the streets. I'm sure just as it is today, the good men of law enforcement knew to deport him, but the politicians wanted the backing of his supporters.
What lead to Hitler's arrest.
The Beer Hall Putsch November 8 - 9,1923
Hitler concocted a plan with a pair of former Russians to overthrow the of the regional government in Munich. On November 8th 1923, the Bavarian Prime Minister, Gustav Kahr, was addressing a meeting of around 3000 businessmen at a beer hall in Munich. Kahr was joined by some of the most senior men in Bavarian politics including Seisser, Bavaria’s police chief, and Lossow, the local army commander.Kahr, Lossow and Seisser were taken into a side room and at gunpoint convinced to cooperate with Hitler and to join him in the revolution. Hitler then returned the meeting hall, fired a shot into the ceiling, announced a new government and set his puppets with a gun in their backs up on stage so show they had joined him. Later that evening, his puppets fled to safety and Hitler's coupe was squashed and he was arrested.
Hitler and 600 of his Stormtroopers (the SA) went into the meeting from the back of the hall. These SA men, lead by Ernst Rohm, lined the sides of the hall in an attempt to intimidate those in the beer hall. It is said that Hitler, once on the speaker’s platform, shouted out the following:
"The national revolution has broken out. The hall is surrounded."
"Two days after the putsch, Hitler was arrested and charged with high treason in the special People's Court... His trial began on 26 February 1924 and would last until 1 April 1924..." He should have been sentenced to years in prison but Hitler served a little over a month of a three-month jail sentence.
We all know what Hitler went on to do, after he got out of jail. His conviction did not deter him from his plan. What would have happened if Hitler had been deported, instead of allowed to continue his life illegally in Germany?

Interesting. I never knew that Hitler could have been deported. I wonder if he floated forged documents like our Dictator Obama?

I didn't either, until I recently read something factual/historical about Hitler's rise to power.

It was while he was in jail for this crime that he wrote "Mein Kampf".
Another factoid about Der Fuhrer is that his father was an Austrian border official. Adolph Schicklegruber (originally) was sent to school in Germany by his father where he became an enthusiastic German nationalist. He again found his way into Germany when he enlisted in the German military for WWI. Not hard to figure when you realize that it was Austria -- the Austro-Hungarian Empire -- that started WWI, not Germany. This same Austrian found his way into a National Socialist Worker's Party meeting in order to spy on it for the German military after the war. This was all in Bavaria, a part of Germany that borders on Austria.
It's not just lax immigration control that leads to things like this, it is immigration through military service that is another way immigration goes wrong.
Arizona GOP pushing tough, new border policies, but faces strong...
