Lou Dobbs Special -- CNN -- March 27
Rep. Poe (R-Tx):The government had to chose in this case. They had to chose between prosecuting a drug smuggler bringing in a million dollars worth of drugs, or prosecuting two border agents that didn't. A chief Barker said, follow protocol and fill out certain forms. And the federal government chose poorly. They chose to prosecute the border protectors instead of prosecute the drug smugglers. And now we have apparently learned that the drug smuggler brought in another load.

I saw the show yesterday. Lou interviewed the lawyers for Ramos and Campeon. Then he interviewed the guy who prosecuted them--Johnny Sutton--San Diego radio talk show host, Rick Roberts, believes this guy works for Mexico City. Sutton's claims just didn't add up. He claimed that Ramos could have just hand-cuffed the drug smuggler after he hit him with the butt of his gun, but he claims Ramos just let him get away. He also said in Ramos' first statement regarding the incident, he saw the drug smuggler limp to his car after shooting him--apparently contradicting Ramos' claim that he didn't know if he had hit him.......THEN, when Lou asked why he went for attempted murder, Sutton said, "Because they were trying to kill him." You guys see where I am going with this?

    Sutton claims:

    1. Ramos struck the smuggler to the ground, then let him run away.

    and

    2. Ramos witnessed the smugger limp to his vehicle after being shot.

    BUT

Sutton claims that Ramos was trying to kill him?????? If he was trying to kill him, why didn't he just shoot him after knocking him down?? Why didn't he keep firing as the drug smuggler was limping to his vehicle to escape? The prosecutors own claims just don't add up. According to his own words these men should NOT have been charged with attempted murder.

I guess Johnny Sutton was one of those attorneys that obeyed and aligned himself with Gonzo and Bushmouth. He was rewarded by not being blacklisted along with the eight other attorneys that did stand up to do their jobs rather than being told how to do their jobs.

I freaking hate this government. A thug in the White House, spineless worms in Congress..hmm..a recipe for the death of a nation.

I love Lou Dobbs, but too often he is too kind to bad guys like Johnny Sutton.... Sutton was better prepared than Lou, I am afraid...

Why did lou not ask Johnny 'why did you not go after the smuggler', why did you give the smuggler immunity for even future offenses, the 'second' office...

why did he not Johnny to supply the letter from the Mexican government that got this prosecution (persecution?) started? "standard letter"? yeah right!

Lou's attempt to be "civil" only makes the opposition look reasonable.... at least to the casual viewer...

I think Lou should have had Sutton on at the same time he had Ramos and Campeon's lawyers, and let them duke it out. Lou was out-matched, he is not an attorney, and is not as up on the details as Sutton. I think a couple things that Sutton claimed would have been called into question by the BP officers lawyers. For instance, I think they would have called him on the contradictory statements that I pointed out.

What I could have or couldn't have is irrelevant. The fact is that this racist idiot that Bushmouth has positioned as AG is manipulating how enforement is done in this country no matter how unethical or illegal it may be. The whole lot of them, Bush, Gonzo, Sutton, Rove and Scooter are all afiliated with the CFR which is really the evil behind the NAU. It sounds like to me you're defending these traitorous republicans. You need to admit that neither party, dems or repubs are any good. They're both rotton to the core and are no longer what they used to be.

I agree. Socialist globalists or capitalist globalists, makes no difference to me. What we need to understand is that the Reps and Dems in government are on one side and we are on the other. They are not fighting each other any more. They are aligning against us. A pox on both their houses.

I could be mistaken.....I apologize for the error, but my main point was that the prosecutor made incosistent statements to Lou.
