    This is insane!

    Clip from Lou Dobbs' transcript:

    SEN. MITCH MCCONNELL (R), KENTUCKY:
We're not going through this exercise to just have something die in conference. We -- we want to pass something.
The future of our country, the future of our children and grandchildren comes down to this?

Yes, isn't it sad? I said this yesterday in a post too while watching the debate on C-Span....that they plan on passing SOMETHING so it is to our advantage to let them know what we're willing to accept or not. At first, I was beginning to like what Feinstein had to say about her orange card proposal until Jeff Sessions got up and explained all the hidden snafus in her amendment that were not readily apparent. Frist was on several news shows this evening claiming that by Thursday, they WILL pass a comprehensive immigration bill...and if he has his way, it won't be anything we're going to like (espeically if you are absolutely "no amnesty")

McConnell is married to a Mexican, I am told....Ky's other Senator, Jim Bunning, is against what is going on in the Senate....or so he says now!

I am practicing on the quote thing.

I understand what you are saying about his being married to a Mexican and that might color his voting.

When you think about that, though, doesn't it make you want to cry?

What does the national origin of your wife, your father in law, or yourself have anything to do with how you vote concerning the operation of America.

We didn't elect a Mexican, a woman, the husband/wife/ father in law of some ethnic group. We elected an American.

I am getting so sick of this - somehow years ago when they began with this hypenated and politically correct garbage, I knew it would not be a good thing.

Yes, unfortunately the future comes down to "something". That "something" is certain to smell to high heaven.

It terrifies me to consider what kind of future my young children will have.

I phoned McConnell's office, said that Sessions is right about this bill being a bad bill. I told them that the only people that NEED this bill are those violating the laws. Hopefully I empowered him to not just pass anything. I'm just not going to choose between getting stabbed with a knife or shot with a gun even if I know I'm gonna get killed.
