    Tancredo: Nacho Typical Republican

CHIP ON HIS SHOULDER TancredoIf the Republican Party is anything like the Lucchese crime family, '08 presidential candidate Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) may soon get whacked for his ramped-up tough guy routine that has him brazenly going after the Party's made men like a Mexican-hating version of Joe Pesci.
Tancredo has unveiled a new "Save America Campaign" aimed at defeating the "sell-out" immigration bill currently being considered by the Senate. It actually involves Tancredo super-sizing his already turbo-charged bombast. Yesterday at lunchtime, for example, Tancredo "coincidentally" sat at the same diner as (and managed to out-crazy) immigration bill supporter Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and sent him a plate of nachos. And in last night's Republican debate, he told President Bush to go piss up a rope, praised the cutting of family ties abroad in order to become a real American, and outlined the scope of his new project: "I am willing to do whatever is necessary to try to stop this piece of legislation. And that includes go after any Republican that votes for it, because the Republicans can stop this."

Tancredo will now scale back his visits to Iowa and New Hampshire so he can personally rouse up his fair-minded followers in the districts of wavering Republicans. While this is sure to cause headaches for many, a spokesman for a Republican who survived a Tancredo cabal last year isn't sweating it: "If his poll numbers are any indication, then he's not catching fire with the Republican base on an issue that's front and center."

    Tancredo: time to 'Save America'
Tuesday, June 5 at 10:14 PM
Rep. Tom Tancredo will cut back on campaigning for President in favor of pressuring fellow Republicans to oppose the immigration reform bill being considered by the Senate, reports M.E. Sprengelmeyer.

Before a Tuesday night debate on CNN, Tancredo, told reporters he soon plans to scale back his weekly visits to the early caucus and primary states of -Iowa and New Hampshire.
Tancredo said he would spend more time traveling to Republican-held congressional districts around the country. There, he hopes to pressure GOP incumbents in their own backyards, threatening to work for their defeats unless they help block the immigration reform bill now pending in the Senate.

"This is the whole ballgame here to a large extent," Tancredo said.

On Tuesday he launched a "Save America" campaign to oppose the immigration bill because he says it would "destroy our great nation" and open the floodgates to even more illegal immigration.

"We're going to continue to campaign, but I cannot devote as much time to the two states that we were focusing on," Tancredo said. "We'll still be there, but I can't do it as much because this bill has to be stopped, and it is immediate. This is for the country."

"If his poll numbers are any indication, then he's not catching fire with the Republican base on an issue that's front and center."

This is very unfortunate that Tancredo's numbers aren't better than they are. He seems to be sincere in his stance on illegal immigration, unlike the rest of the field who are fakes and phonies who will do whatever it takes to become "el heffe" (the President for those of you in Rio Linda).

I must say though that Tancredo's perception on TV is not inspiring at all. He is right on the issues, but he come across as being nervous and unsure of himself. In both of the debates he has stammered and studdered through his answers. He didn't come across as confident that he can resolve the issues we face.

Every time they showed McCain with his arrogant smirk, Iwanted wipe it off his face! And Romney, with his Spanish language politcal website, he's an amnesty guy.

    Just my thoughts.

I'm a Tancredo supporter. It's tough knowing he isn't doing as well in the debates as I hoped. Of course the media has had it in for him labeling him as a second tier candidate from the beginning. I guest if the media has their way, we will end up with another clown in the White House, like the one we have now.

You nailed it. He isn't getting the media coverage, and when he does, it isn't positive. That is our media for ya.

Well...America has plenty of videos that they can look at of all the candidates. Tom isn't a smooth talker...but is that what we want AGAIN?!! I think he is every bit as qualified for the job as the clowns that stand beside Tancredo, Paul and Hunter!!! These are the only three looking out for Americans. Fred Thompson sounded great until I started looking and I believe he will give amnesty to those already in the country.

I will only be looking at these three candidates...so far they are the only ones looking out for this country...the rest have been bought!!
