Jesse Jackson calls on UN to investigate Zimmerman case

The UN? REALLY? This race hustler is calling for an overthrow of US soverignty.

Jesse Jackson calls on UN to investigate Zimmerman case

    July 16, 2013
    by Joe Saunders

Veteran race-baiter Jesse Jackson is asking the United Nations to get involved in the case of George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the shooting of Trayvon Martin.
In a column published Monday in the Chicago Sun-Times, Jackson called for “a national investigation of the racial context that led to Trayvon Martin’s slaying” by Congress.

An it’s time to call on the United Nations Human Rights Commission for an in-depth investigation of whether the U.S. is upholding its obligations under international human rights laws and treaties.”

It’s an empty statement – the U.N. can’t even bring itself to get involved when a criminal court convicts someone of a spurious crime – like when Iranian women are stoned to death for adultery.

A defendant actually being acquitted – under the rule of law – of a criminal charge brought by the state is something the U.N. is so unfamiliar with it probably wouldn’t know where to begin.

It’s also a sign that Jackson – who during the 2008 campaign said he wanted to literally emasculate then-candidate Barack Obama for opposing Jackson’s candidate, Hillary Clinton — still hasn’t reconciled himself to the fact that the United States has a black man as its president. And one who did just about everything but go into the jury room to make sure of a prison term for the man accused of a boy who looked like the son Obama never had.

That president isn’t done yet. The Justice Department is pursuing a “hate crime” investigation into Zimmerman – despite its own investigation by the FBI that concluded last year any such charge couldn’t be proven.

The president of Jackson’s country is a black man. The top law enforcement officer of his country is a black man.

So why is Jackson proposing the U.N. get involved? Because he knows that even if it means nothing in reality, it will make headlines. And a case like Zimmerman’s is perfect for a hustler like Jackson. He can put his ignorance on display without any consequences — as he did Sunday when he said Martin was denied a jury of his “peers” – and he gets a chance to make the name Jesse Jackson matter again, however briefly, outside the hometown he shares with Barack Obama.

Like the segment of the Voting Rights Act the Supreme Court struck in June – which relied 40-year-old voting registration numbers – Jackson is an artifact whose time as past

Honoring Trayvon With Beatings, Muggings, Burglary and Arson

    Posted by Tad Cronn

The family of Trayvon Martin, grieving for their lost child, called for calm reflection across the nation in the wake of the verdict that George Zimmerman was not guilty in Martin's death.
Their call has fallen on deaf ears.
Around the country, angry mobs have made their presence felt in the wake of the verdict, blocking traffic, beating up innocent passers-by, burning buildings and generally looting and pillaging their communities.
Or as the media put it, being "mostly peaceful."
The media mantra about "mostly peaceful" protests is the same line they used when Occupy Wall Street was camping on public property, robbing, stealing, raping and vandalizing on a mass scale.
What we've seen in the days following the Zimmerman verdict isn't even properly termed protests, though there has been some sign waving.
Mostly, it's been just roving mobs of people -- not necessarily black people either -- with a sort of aimless generalized anger at civilization. They are like human grenades being rolled down a hill, their pins having been pulled and their targets selected by someone else.
In this case, the target is "white" people, even though Zimmerman is Hispanic, and the complaint is "injustice," even though the system in Zimmerman's case worked exactly as it is supposed to, allowing an accused man go free because the charges against him were not proved.
The pin pullers are the usual cast of lowlifes: the media, the professional race baiters and political leaders who see an opportunity for gaining more power or momentary advantage from the turmoil they have caused.
In addition to the socially malcontent, there are also professional agitators hired by the Left (you can tell them by their pre-printed signs) and cadres of criminal opportunists.
As Eric Holder dithers about whether he will file federal charges and President Obama watches with pleasure at the chaos around Martin, the son he never had, mobs in the past few days have: burned down a store in Pennsylvania after spray painting "kill Zimmerman" on it; beaten a Hispanic man while yelling "This is for Trayvon"; attacked a jogger in Mississippi; hit a waiter in the head with a hammer; beaten a man in Wisconsin; blocked traffic in Newark, New Jersey, Houston and New York; burned American flags; broken windows at a Men's Wearhouse; raided a Los Angeles Walmart; smashed car windows; started fires; and vandalized stores.
That's not to mention the countless threats, hate messages and harassment aimed at Zimmerman and his family, some of it by celebrities and government officials.
This is one of those moments where the Left sinks to the lowest common denominator and shows what it's really about.

Protesters Try to Stop Family From Taking Child to Hospital

    By Todd Starnes
A Texas grandmother was terrified after Trayvon Martin supporters surrounded her SUV, hit her in the head and tried to prevent her from taking her sick grandchild to the hospital.

The grandmother, along with her daughter and granddaughter were trying to get the Texas Children’s Hospital when protesters blocked traffic on a highway.
“When we first drove up I thought it was a wreck,” said Georgia, who asked that her last name not be used. “When we got closer, I realized all these protesters were everywhere. They weren’t letting us through.”

Georgia told Fox News she did not see any police — just hundreds of protesters.
As they were stuck in the traffic jam, she spotted a man and tried to get his attention.

“I rolled down the window and explained that we were trying to get to the hospital because my seven-year-old granddaughter was sick,” she said. “He motioned them to let us through.”

But when the family drove onto a grassy area, the crowd swarmed the SUV and turned violent.

“They were screaming and chanting,” she said. “They jumped in front of us and surround the SUV. I screamed back that we were just trying to get to the hospital.”

A CBS cameraman captured the aftermath of the incident on video. It shows one protester hitting the windshield with his fist and grabbing Georgia’s arm. The man also tried to open the back door of the vehicle.

“We were shaking,” she said. “Our bodies were shaking. We were terrified.”
At some point in the altercation, Georgia said she was hit in the head and her daughter punched the accelerator. Once they reached a safe distance, they called 911.

“They said they would send a patrol car,” Georgia said. “I said, we need an Army, not a patrol car. There were hundreds of people on the freeway.”

Houston Police told Fox News they are investigating the incident – but so far no arrests have been made.

Georgia told Fox News she’s not quite sure why they were targeted by the protesters.

“We were just trying to get to the hospital,” she said. “But they didn’t want us to go through. They were trying to stop us.”

Georgia said the ordeal has left her shaken and she’s considering getting a firearm.

“I’ve never had one but you never know when you’re going to need it,” she said.
The family eventually made it to the hospital and the seven-year-old is doing just fine.
