Blacks Join the Immigration Reform Fray—At Last!

I’d like to thank President George W. Bush and Senator Edward M. Kennedy. And while I’m at it, I’ll thank Senators Arlen Specter, Lindsey Graham, John Kyl and the rest of the dunces who drafted or supported S. 1639.

Because of their insistence, in the face of all logic, that the proposed amnesty immigration acceleration legislation was good for America blacks—long-time fence-sitters regarding illegal immigration—have joined the fray. We welcome them as allies to our cause.

Black conservative talk show hosts have hammered away at illegal immigration for sometime with modest success. They are aware of the danger posed to blacks by the illegal alien invasion.

Several years ago, I had lunch with Tony Brown, the host of Tony Brown’s Journal. Brown told me that unless something was done to end illegal immigration, black Americans would be “finished.â€

You know, I recall Senator Sessions saying that the illegals did some good things like working in the aftermath of Katrina because they were short of workers. I'm sure he doesn't know that the black Americans are being shoved out to give the illegals those jobs.

I have posted in the past about how a black man from Miami went to Washington D.C. to speak to congress about this. He also spoke of how blacks were pushed out of jobs and illegals would get them. There were also other issues related to illegal immigration he brought up as well but I don't recall all of them.

Thanks for the update. I HOPE this is a growing trend.

I have been asking for YEARS ... where are the blacks and the unions?

It's been a long time now, and therefore fewer people remember how Caesar Chavez of the United Farm Workers was always fighting this problem. In fact, in 1969 he led a UFW march to the Mexican border to protest illegal immigration.

Here is an interesting account -- you can see how they were fighting for their economic survival: "They marched through the Imperial and Coachella Valley to the border of Mexico to protest growers' use of illegal aliens as temporary replacement workers during a strike. Joining him on the march were both the Reverend Ralph Abernathy and U.S. Senator Walter Mondale. Chavez and the UFW would often report suspected illegal aliens who served as temporary replacement workers as well as who refused to unionize to the INS."

Where is the leadership from all these affected groups TODAY?

Well, as long as the black caucus supports amnesty and illegal immigrants, it doesn't matter. Someone or something needs to show them the truth of the matter.

what I don't get is how anybody can not see the impact of the education system, the social services impact, crime, and the federal funding of groups that support this type of environment --- yet, black america is really sorta being "sh#t" on by the governments (and that greatly includes the black caucus) for not recognizing that these are citizens that need to helped. As all these illegals come in and everyone is walking on tippy toes, their kids are being taken care, their kids are being given a good education... and all the resources to help our own, are being used on them... really really lame.

What is so funny though, 'brown' activists will USE black americans against themselves and 'white america' by crying racism and trying to set up a policy of the "hateful" vs. "the righteous" --> YET, these 'brown' activists are using them... for their OWN benefit.... yet, I feel black america is so entrenched in the racial mindset they follow along not realizing that this ISN'T a racial issue, but one of Americas quality of living and having the resources FOR AMERICANS, not Illegals.

It's about time the Blacks began to awaken.

Don't believe it, it's three fourths of all the african american leadership is against it.

I know that jesse, and naacp have tried for the latino vote, and so is barack.

They are part of the reason that I give the African American Community the Entire African American Directory.

Information being what it is, that adorable big directory eventually will make the african american leadership think twice about playing with their own group.

Pandering knows no color! They are traitors just like many other so-called leaders in this country. Jesse Jackson is an opportunist who hasn't "led" the black community in years. The NAACP is all but extinct, and Obama blew it when he revealed his pro-amnesty stance.

When the illegals first came to our part of Texas, it was the blacks working in the poultry industry that were the first to loose their jobs to illegals.

I do hope they will join us, in force, on this issue. Their voice will make a huge difference, and I hope many will ealize how important they all are to this countries futue.
