I agree we are seeing more articles in our newspapers here in Boston and hearing more about it than ever before. I am also encouraged by the articles I read from around the country on this site. We are making a difference and more people are waking up and realizing what is really at stake here. Our country and our way of life. These next few months leading up to elections should be mighty interesting.

    Thanks for the good news.
Does this result from the illegals' mob demonstrations?

Senators were awed and impressed by the [Communist La Raza led] mob demonstrators. Voters are disgusted.

What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

Barletta's office has been flooded with hundreds of approving e-mails and phone calls _ from as far as California and Florida _ and he got a standing ovation when he walked into a Hazleton diner for lunch.
He got one from Texas too!

Hope, it is turning. I've noticed it in my local papers and TV broadcast. We have to keep complaining and stay active. We can not give the illegal supporters a chance to slink back in.

Like the optimism this post expresses but living in CA it is harder to feel that way (and I'm an optimist at heart). And yet, with the Bilbray/Buzby race he won because of his stance against illegal immigration but then again he ran in a Republican district. So much of our state is taken over by now that most legislators are probably afraid to stand up re the issue plus this is a largely Democratic state. Nationally I do agree that the people are waking up and realizing the reality of the situation this country is in.

groan....I wish this landlord would start "not renting" to people he suspects to be illegals, bu then he would give his usual response in his thick Romanian accent "you know, I don't know, they say they are legal", or he says, "I don't remember".

He likes to play dumb, that's because the other buildings where the illegals live are falling apart and he does not want to fix them, so he knows that regular Americans wil not rent those units. It's all about getting money in his greedy little pocket. It is for most landlords that will rent to illegal aliens.

I truly believe from watching the Senate travisty this is going to be solved at the local level. One street, one town, one county, one state at a time.

Locals can do it and should do this one town at a time. IGNORE Washington. Local governments and sheriff's offices rarely have to deal with thousands of angry people shutting down there email services and phone systems. Local businesses who violate the law do not have the PR machines to spin the impact. What if one of the members in this group lives in a town that looks the other way on everything. Instead of 5-30 locals showing up to protest with signs they also let groups like this know. Many groups that have gotten together to support the local protest with emails and phone calls demanding they do there job.

Sheriff Joe in Arizona found where he could apply City, County or State law to rack them up in jail for six months to a year. Going back to where ever does not bother ILLEGALS. I think they just see it as a free trip to somewhere and back. A little vacation of sorts and even that is at our expense. Jail does bother them a bit and then Sheriff Joe turns them over to ICE.

Most locals are just not looking for the laws that they can jail them on. It is easier to just throw up their hands and say it is out of their control. I think the locals (State's Rights) are the ones that could get the job done. Most locals have never had their switchboard shut down from thousands of angry people or their email servers crash from thousands of emails saying we are going to hold you accountable for not enforcing local law. A boycott on a small local business would also have more impact. Locals are just as guilty if not more so than Washington. Washington has failed them as well as us. All of them Local, State and Federal have all ignored to enforce laws we have been paying taxes for.

The big guys in Washington are rich and don't care. It would be nice to have this attrition thing start without Washington. Locals can do it without Washington because all the laws to accomplish this are already on the books. Washington tries on purpose to make all feel they have to come through them to get anything done. It is called power. More locals would come out if they thought they were not alone on this. We are already starting to see it work from the locals taking a stand. If we could build this up to 5000 Sheriff Joe's we could sideline Washington.

I have your back but I think we might not be outnumbered.
