    On C SPAN when the house was voting earlier

    It had 3 columns. yea nay and n/v. What does n/v stand for?

    Not voted, I believe. It is for those who have not yet cast a vote in the allotted time.

    Another reason for the not voting yet, as I understand from conversations today, some members may be allowed to vote no (Democrats), if they have enough yeas. The reason being, that if a Democrat is in a Republican area, they may need to go home and say that they voted against the bill.
