    Thats the number of Forumers not members, i recall W stateing there are over 10,000 members on National TV if i'm not mistaking, probably even more than that now.

    During the transition the new platform used that date as a default. Alipac team members have corrected the dates for as many as possible and will continue to do so for every member posting and the default date is seen.

    When we deal with storing dates for anything (like join date, post date, birthday of user) on a website or in any computer program we sometimes work with something called "unix time". So a unix time of 0 would mean midnight Thursday, January 1st of 1970 since that was decided as the start date for the time system. And that's what you're seeing. The default join date (in unix time) seems to be set to 0 for older users on this website. Edit: Or actually, from Ratbstard's post, I imagine the issue is that the older system did not use unix time to store dates? So they're having to convert, say, 01-12-2012 to 132638726 (unix time).
