Thread: Why Am I a Racist?

I want to know why it is that if, as a white American I demand that our elected officials enforce existing laws, and insist that our borders be secured against invasion from ANY foreign country, that makes me a racist? I have been called some horrible uncivilized names, and what I am accused of is NOT what is in my heart.

Join the club, according to the radical racists groups we are all racist, its the only card they have to play beside the bigot card. ALIPAC members are from every race and they are a great bunch of patriots, we will not let these people make us feel bad about saving our culture and country. WE are for legal immigration not illegal immigration

My experience in that area is that those people don't have any, or a good, counter argument as to the enforcement of immigration laws. Resorting to name calling or labeling as one's first move in a debate - on a complicated issue - is not likely to win over bystander's opinions.

The issue is not about race - it is about legality and/or status.

For me, I don't care what race the illegal is, and I don't care the race of the person questioning the policies. Wrong is wrong and race doesn't matter.

I will gladly be labeled a racist because I speak against illegal immigration. Unless they see me in person, they do not know what my skin color is, or what my accent is. All they hear is an American speaking up for my country. For all they know, they are calling their 'sister' a racist.
