    CORRUPT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS REPORT

None from NJ. Why ? In New Jersey we weed them out with indictments before they get to Congress.

CREW RELEASES THIRD ANNUAL MOST CORRUPT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS REPORT

    September 18, 2007

Washington, DC – Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) released its third annual report on the most corrupt members of Congress entitled Beyond DeLay: The 22 Most Corrupt Members of Congress (and two to watch). This encyclopedic report on corruption in the 110th Congress documents the egregious, unethical and possibly illegal activities of the most tainted members of Congress. CREW has compiled the members’ transgressions and analyzed them in light of federal laws and congressional rules.

Sixteen members have been replaced from last year’s list of 25.

CREW also has re-launched the report’s tandem website, www.beyonddelay.org. The site offers short summaries of each member’s transgressions as well as the full-length profiles and all accompanying exhibits.

    Members of the Senate:
    Sen. Pete V. Domenici (R-NM)
    Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

Are we to believe that Duncan Hunter is corrupt?? If I'm not mistaken CREW is a George Soros supported group.

Amazing they didn't list Hillary Clinton considering it's one scandal after the other and ONLY 4 Democrats. If you read some of the material, it's accusations, "it appears" language and other unproven charges. It becomes highly suspect when they only listed the 4 they HAD to list because of obvious corruption. You could come up with much of the same charges against Reid and Pelosi. It's obvious these people are stumping for the Democrats and most all the ones listed are up for re-election.

CREW is indeed funded by Soros, so I would take this list with a grain of salt. I thought you should see how they play the game. Who's on the list, and who is not is surely guided by George which makes it extremely suspect to me.

Rep. Tim Murphy happens to be my Rep. He is one of the best we have ever had. I usually don't go around defending any politicians, but seeing Tim Murphy on her list definitely made me want to respond.

His voting record on illegal immigration is a B.

He has never hesitated to take my calls or help constituents who were in need of help.

This piece of BS that you are submitting for our perusal is very biased.

You can say anything you want about Sen. Specter of Pennsylvania and I would probably agree with you, he is one of the worst.

But I personally have dealt with Sen.Tim Murphy and this lady is full of it. (The Most Corrupt Members of Congress) I notice they are mostly Republicans, not that they are any better than the Democrats.

Come on, if this is the worst any of our Reps.or Senators are guilty of, I might be able to sleep better at night.

In its assessment of Mr. Murphy, CREW recounts last year's allegations that the congressman used staff and resources from his government office for campaign-related activities. At the time, Mr. Murphy referred the issue to the House Ethics Committee, saying he expected the panel to find no "intentional acts of wrongdoing."

Yesterday, Mark Carpenter, a spokesman for Mr. Murphy, said CREW "is part of the current political climate of divisive and personal attacks."

"This left-leaning partisan group is notorious for sending out phony reports that are nothing less than character assassinations," he said. Mr. Murphy's office declined to discuss the specifics of the allegations.

Melanie Sloan, CREW's executive director, said the report named more Republicans than Democrats because the GOP had been the majority party up until this year.

"They had the power," she said. "I don't think either party is immune to corruption."
This might be the only part she got right.
"I don't think either party is immune to corruption."
