Does it really have to be this way?
The other day, I heard on one of the radio shows that in about 20-25 years, this country will be at least 60% hispanic.
Is that because we are continuing to allow illegal immigration?? What would the figure be if we did the right thing?!
Every time I hear this type of "threat", I get boiling mad, because I believe that it does not have to be that way - it is not "inevitable", as many say. I know we're working to stop this, but has anyone ever come up with a figure that would be correct if we STOP illegal immigration? Is our stopping it going to help? Or, do we have to also stop legal immigration? I've never heard any of these "researchers" talk about how to STOP this - how to change the future and keep America as we want it to be - that is, we - the American citizens!

Cousin al
It's really not an issue of Hispanic or any ethnicity. The important thing is will this place be the United States of America, under our Constitution, and advancing our values tomorrow, next year, and 20 years from now. Freedom loving people come from all over this world.Unemployment is not working. Deport illegal alien workers now! It's common knowledge that immigrants assimilate into our society faster if they come in smaller numbers. Unfortunately that's not the case these days as more and more are flooding across our borders without permission.

Yes, I think it IS a matter of being hispanic - because they are unwilling to assimilate, and they want to change our country. I don't think it WILL be the America we know today - in fact, I KNOW it.
But, do we want this? Some people think that this is OK, but others, like myself, like our very own wonderful "Western Civilization" better. Don't be fooled into thinking that it won't change our country DRASTICALLY if immigration (legal and illegal) continues with little or no assimilation.
Why would people from Mexico (where the biggest group are coming from) assimilate if they don't have to, and they can have their own culture carried with them - language, customs, laws (eventually), culture, etc. etc.? They will be able to then change whatever they want in this country when they become the majority - laws, the Constitution, etc. Isn't that ONE reason why we don't want unchecked illegal immigration?

we are being totally swamped by a lawless third world dirt culture (it's actually a lack of culture if you consider it) that is built on corruption and scamming.
entire cities are being ruined for american citizens due to this massive illegal barging influx of mexicans and other central and south americans who just traipse in here and create havoc in almost every area of our lives and public services. not to mention the reconquista thugs that are enabled.
it will end our nation if we don't stop it.
that's why I'm here.

If the U.S. actually becomes 60% Hispanic in only 20 years, then it will be only because we allowed millions more illegal aliens to invade and remain here And if these illegal aliens are the ancesors of the majority Hispanics in the U.S. in 20-30 years, then it is highly likely that the U.S. will be nothing better than a 3rd world cesspool.
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".
