To the editor:

When humans are born, we aren’t born with a predisposition to a feeling of inequality. We actually have to learn these things. When will we stop teaching our children that everything revolves around race? Talk of stopping illegal immigration isn’t about race. After all, the majority of our leaders here in the Valley are of Spanish-speaking descent. Is it racist to simply state that the overall economic costs of illegal immigration (from all countries) is in the billions?

When is it the responsibility of the U.S. to support other countries’ citizens? The answer is that it isn’t. It’s our responsibility as Americans to support us first and all others last.

We are humans first, and then we are Americans. We all belong to the same race and have the same basic needs and goals in life. I certainly don’t want to make my neighbor’s car payment if I can’t even afford to make my own.

I have a huge problem when people scream racism to those of us who are against illegal immigrants. Illegals come from various countries around the world and consist of all races. In South Florida we have not only have illegla Hispanics but also blacks from the Caribbean, whites from Europe and some South American countries and Asians. Due to that fact alone you cannot truly play the race card.

The pro-illegal scum loves to use the word "racist," and they taught that to the illegal aliens to use also.

I use that racist comment to laugh at pro illegals. When they claim anti illegals are racist, I gladly remind them that illegals come from many countries and races. In South Florida we have illegal blacks from the Caribbean, asians from countries like India, whites from Europe and some South American countries like Agentina and Uraguay. I tell them that and ask them how can a white person be racist against their own race?

Too many minorities (esp Mexicans) have used the race card accusation of racism and have run with it. Just because someone says it does not make it the Gospel. Most people who make the claim have a racist chip on their shoulder to begin with. They in effect are trying to make you feel guilty to manipulate you to get their way.

Is illegal immigration about racism? Simple answer: NO. Since when is it racist for a U.S. citizen to want their immigration laws enforced, and their borders secured? It's not only the rule of law, but a security issue as well.

Is illegal immigration about racism? YES! On the part of the illegals and their supporters!

Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minutemen Project, told me that illegal immigration is a LEGAL, NOT a RACIAL/ETHNIC issue because ANYONE can be an illegal!

They have learned that by screaming racism they can get their way , it also has to do with playing the victim card ,

They have played their whole hand , the racism card , The nazi/kkk card,
newest card is the "nativist" card

We need them , they built this country, no human is illegal, xenophobes

I think we have called their bluff and they are sitting with a losing hand.
