Florida Legislature May Never Pass Arizona-Style Immigration

Though Florida Gov. Rick Scott made a campaign promise to bring Arizona-style immigration reform to his state, Florida businesses, police chiefs, and Hispanic Republicans are expressing concerns on the bill.

A major part of Arizona’s immigration bill that many are taking issue with is the requirement that local police are to determine a person’s immigration status during a routine traffic stop if the officer has “reasonable suspicionâ€

Are these guys going to find it easier to back peddle in their stand on the illegal alien invasion? Again promises made and may not be carried out.

I feel if any and all politicians run for office, get elected and take the oath of allegiance,to defend this country against "invasions", and if they fail to carry out this duty they should be held accountable and be taken from office immediately instaed of having to wait 2 to 4 years for another election.

Acts like this can be very detrimental to the country and its safety and security.

They VIOLATED the sacred trust and should be withdrawn from office!

A lot of Floridians are going to be really PO'D if they do not pass a stringent law against IA's.

We now have to prove our citizenship to get our drivers license so I say just make the law say Anyone stopped or arrested must prove their citizenship. That stops the complaint of possible "Profiling".It is very simple !!

they've been doing that since I was a kid, I say we leave it up to the detention centers since that is their job to verify who you are for court and warrants, everyone is treated the same when the iron slams shut!"
