Thread: Action ALERT! NC bill would restrict benefits to illegals!!

We need your help. HB 1474 "Public Assistance Benefits/Residents Only" passed in committee yesterday unanimously with bipartisan support.

It is now headed for the house floor and they go into session today at 3pm. We are conducting a targeted stealth campaign to get this bill passed.

HB 1474 is similar to a bill passed with wide margins in VA. It does about the same thing as Arizona's Proposition 200 without the provisions regarding voter registration.

This bill restricts taxpayer benefits and welfare to only those that are LEGAL US Citizens or Legally present. It does not affect emergency care or those illegals under 18 yrs of age.

Calls are the MOST IMPORTANT followed by emails. Please speak with the legislators if you can and if not leave them messages.

Please join us today as we work to create a buzz at the legislature of calls and emails asking Representatives to support HB 1474 before 3pm!
