    Lone Protester- Virtuous Politicians

Lone Protester - Virtuous Politicians 9/30/08

Has anybody else noticed how quick Washington jumped in rescue their Wall Street buddies but they remained on vacation when fuel prices were high and the American people begged for their help? To me it is just one more indication that the average citizen cannot expect any help from their elected leaders. We are forced to fend for ourselves with high fuel prices, 38 million illegals, wide open border, banks going bankrupt right and left, and huge losses in the job and business sector. While our politicians lie to us about the reasons for the bailout we have to go our own merry way.
It just tees me off when I think about these fatcats getting our politicians to help them out. It just boggles my mind. The construction industry in this country in the last few years has been devastated by a tsunami of illegal workers and criminal companies employing them. In the last few years an entire criminal subculture has sunken its roots in every town and city and our politicians refused to listen to us. We have screamed we want our borders closed and illegals deported but they still refused to listen. But let some of Hank Paulson and George Bush’s buddies start crying and they are all over it.
I have watched the ruin of the construction industry on a daily basis for the last few years. I have seen so many of my friends businesses go under because Congress wouldn’t listen to our problems. They had no choice because the government wasn’t interested in their problems in the least. In fact our government has aided and abetted the people that ran them out of business. I have contacts that haven’t had any work in two and three months but Congress has better things to do than waste their time on idiot American problems. I write to my Senator about the problems the industry is having in his state and he tells people that I need to shut up. I never got a response from him by the way. The moral of the story is that when it comes to American citizens our government would much rather we go take a flying leap into the bottomless abyss. Except for our money of course. Our problems don’t rate a blip on their radar screen because we can’t afford million dollar lobbyists that will take care of their campaign contributions and vacations.
Nope, I know for a fact that I and my friends will not receive any assistance from our elected leaders. They have much better things to do, like hurrying this legislation though the process so their crooked deals won’t get too much publicity. That is the important thing. They have to try to cover up the fact that hundreds of thousands of those mortgages they approved of went to illegal aliens. The legislation needs to be passed as soon as possible, that way the citizens might not get wind of the huge sums of campaign money these crooks gave to them.

As long as some people are not effected it is a "fine attitude- to have more immigrants."

You bring up such a great point in this one sentence LP.....one that I thought of immiediately after the bailout was rejected.

After the vote, we all heard the Doomsday speeches coming from the losers. But, we also consistently heard that discussions, debate, etc. would be taken up after people in DC returned from the break for the Jewish holiday.

Well, if an issue is so critical, if our country is in so much trouble, .....why even bother breaking for a holiday?

That should have told a lot of people right there the kind of lies they were trying to sell the American people.
