The Burpinator has been buddying up a great deal with Calderon lately.

I emailed Assemblyman Chuck DeVore about this and about Lili Clark of Napa whose legs had to be amputated because of an illegal alien. I asked him, "do our legislators represent the American citizen or foreign nationals who break our laws?"

He's one of the good guys so I liked to see his take on it. He has a bill he's trying to get passed to give our National Guard college tuition and remove it from illegals.

Why in the world is he speaking to the California Legislature? It is unconstitutional for states to have anything to do with foreign governments!!

Article 1, Section 10 US Constitution (aka that G*d D*amn piece of paper)

Section 10. No state shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation; grant letters of marque and reprisal; coin money; emit bills of credit; make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts; pass any bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law impairing the obligation of contracts, or grant any title of nobility.

No state shall, without the consent of the Congress, lay any imposts or duties on imports or exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection laws: and the net produce of all duties and imposts, laid by any state on imports or exports, shall be for the use of the treasury of the United States; and all such laws shall be subject to the revision and control of the Congress.

No state shall, without the consent of Congress, lay any duty of tonnage, keep troops, or ships of war in time of peace, enter into any agreement or compact with another state, or with a foreign power , or engage in war, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent danger as will not admit of delay.

States are not to deal directly with foreign governments, period.

see my previous post. NO STATE CAN SIGN ANY AGREEMENT WITH A FOREIGN COUNTRY.

The second he signs, someone needs to sue the state for unconstitutional actions. I would if I still lived there.[/quote]

The Mexican government (including their consulates) feel, for some unknown reason(s), that they are an extended arm of the US government. Our government says nothing about Mexico's meddling in our affairs. I guess the Mexican government can do as it pleases on US soil, for some unknown reason(s).
