Thread: Help - What ARE the current federal immigration laws?

I wonder...does anyone know where I can find out what the current immigration laws actually are? I have been searching, but I don't want to try to decipher an entire bill, and I haven't found a summary that helps me.

Since we hear so much about our government not enforcing immigration laws I would like to know exactly what they are not enforcing.

The #1 thing that they are not enforcing is the #1 reason why the illegals are coming and the #2 (supposedly) issue adressed in the '86 amnesty.....That is punishment of employers hiring illegals.

If the illegals don't have jobs, they would go home, because that is the very thing that attracted them here in the first place. Denying government services is another big one, but we need time for states to pass those laws, and then for the gov't to enforce them. Other laws would be changed as well--like chain migration, sanctuary laws, and anchor babies.

OMGosh I am shocked and Amazed.... I finally agree with Dems.......... Gonzales needs to go he is not doing his job, Start with him and work our way up to the the biggest illegal Boss man who has all kinds of Latinos working his Ranch in TX I would bet everything I have that most are Illegals I just know I don't want any more here and the ones that are killing all these Americans with their Drunk Driving, (cause it is awful all around the Country ) needs to be put in Prison for Murder....We are paying for all their medical care and who knows what else , I would rather pay for them to be in jail BUT NO Luxury items, I think our prison system is too Good and fun for people that are criminals and just mean people. But thats a whole different subject

Not enforcing is the operative. The laws are there, and the laws need to be enforced. And not with a slap on the hand, and a country club atmosphere for those who aid and abet, especially the wealthy who employ them as cheap labor.[/b]

INA: ACT 103 - POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE COMMISSIONER

(10) 1/ 9/ In the event the Attorney General determines that an actual or imminent mass influx of aliens arriving off the coast of the United States, or near a land border, presents urgent circumstances requiring an immediate Federal response, the Attorney General may authorize any State or local law enforcement officer, with the consent of the head of the department, agency, or establishment under whose jurisdiction the individual is serving, to perform or exercise any of the powers, privileges, or duties conferred or imposed by this Act or regulations issued thereunder upon officers or employees of the Service.

According to this all the states have to do is tell Gonzales they want authority to enforce the immigration laws and all he has to do is grant it the laws are already there.

8. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.

Wow, that's golden. They are the biggest hypocrites in the history of civics. They called our proposed fence, "shameful," racist," and "xenophobic." And don't get me started on how they treat illegal Central Americans crossing into Mexico. The bastards in Mexico City put our bastards in Washington to shame. The Mexican government is corrupt, dishonest, and it needs to be said again--hypocritical. When Americans want immigration laws like the rest of the world we are racists. We are bending over backword for the Third World. Mexicans HAVE to know in their heart of hearts that they are being dishonest when they cry racism.....I mean, don't people really know when they are being hypocritical?? Why should Americans play by different rules, and be held to ridiculous and impossible standards????

It comes down to this: No other people on the planet share the rosy ideals of multi-culturalism, altruism, and universal morality that Western Civilization does. The Third World knows this, and they use it, guilt us, handicap us......Its like they know the trance the media has put us under, and leverage it--proclaiming arrogant ethnocentrism and nationalism while the West and in particular Americans have absolutely no right to it.
