From listening to the more vigorous critics of illegal immigration, our porous borders are a grave threat to safety. Not only can foreign terrorists sneak in to target us, but the most vicious criminals are free to walk in and inflict their worst on innocent Americans. In xenophobic circles, this prospect induces stark terror. Fox News’ Glenn Beck has decried an “illegal immigrant crime wave.â€

Who is Steve Chapman? Why does he write this crap? Does he think people in Chicago want to read ths bull?

I'm from the midwest originally although I live on the east coast now, but let me tell you no one in the midwest wants to read this bull, they want to read about illegal aliens being deported.

So why doesn’t it feel like we’re fighting the battle of the Alamo?

Maybe it's the 25 Americans who are killed every day by illegal aliens

or the estimated 7 children molested every day by illegal aliens in America.

Or the ones running the illegal drug trade, or the ones running the gangs, or the breeders clogging up our medical facilities and increasing the cost of health insurance for women ... those rates are one of the skyrocketing rates especially for young women .... or the ones requiring costly bilingual education ... or the ones stealing our identities ... our jobs ... our wages ... our politicians ... and our country.

He needs to move to Gwinnett County, GA, honored has the drug cartel capital of the US. And, they have set up in the suburbs - amongst former nice neighborhoods filled with families.

A continuing inflow of violent, predatory Latinos would produce an unprecedented epidemic of larceny and slaughter. In reality, as the illegal immigrant population has grown, crime has, well, gone south.

Actually the "things" have happened. Over 1100 gangs with over 40,000 gang members in Florida alone, and most of these populated by illegal aliens. Similar gang issues in virtually every US city. Emergency rooms going out of business. Illegals taking jobs from US citizens. Illegals sucking the life out the social support system in terms of welfare, food stamps and free health care. A growing meth problem. And border crime growing. On the US side.

Of course, Chapman would not know this because it is not reported in the AP headlines, mainstream press, or the mainstream TV news channels. So if he does not see it there, it does not exist. As for crime statistics going south, he probably believes the government statistics. Bet he thinks unemployment is only 9.7% too.

Moreover, he is the one being racist when he implies that if our fears were correct "predatory Latinos would produce an unprecedented epidemic of larceny and slaughter" . Illegal aliens plague us from all over. A major problem in Florida is from Haitians and illegal aliens from other Caribbean Islands. Not to mention Russia, India, Western Europe, Asia, etc. And not all crime is violence and slaughter. Money laundering, prostitution, fraud, and identity theft for example. Not all violence and slaughter results from the commission of felonies: witness the violence and slaughter on our highways and our federal and state governments unwilling to document and report what percentage is attributed to illegal aliens.

Barf time. Every working illegal aliens is a felon, they commit either felony ID fraud, Social Security fraud, or tax evasion. None of them are "law abiding".

Excuse you, but I didn't write this article, I just posted it. Maybe you need to read it again, especially the part that states who the author is. Just because people post things on here doesn't mean they write them themselves.

It would seem like "The Alamo" if the MSM reported every IA that broke any law. It would definitely feel like "The Alamo" if government agencies and school systems kept records regarding IAs and their Anchor Babies.
