BREAKING: White House Announces What They’re Going to Do After the Election

BREAKING: White House Announces What They’re Going to Do After the Election

The White House today announced that President Barack Obama “will continue to act aggressively” to enact his liberal immigration agenda through executive orders, bypassing Congress, regardless of the outcome of the midterm elections.
This is not, of course, the first statement of this kind that Americans have heard from this president, but it was perhaps the most official, coming not during a campaign speech but from White House press secretary Josh Earnest during a press briefing.

“He [Obama] is bound and determined to do everything that he can, using his power in the executive branch, to make progress on behalf of middle class families in this country,” Earnest said. “The president, regardless of the outcome of the election, will continue to act aggressively to use his executive authority to help middle class families.”
Specifically, Earnest said, Obama is preparing to move forward with “immigration reform” via executive order.
“Republicans have not demonstrated, at this point, any willingness to consider the bipartisan proposal that passed through the Senate. The president has indicated that before the end of the year that he is prepared to use his executive authority to try to fix those elements of the immigration system that he can fix using his executive authority.”

Watch Earnest’s statement here, via the Washington Free Beacon:

The Constitution grants Congress and only Congress the authority to make rules about naturalization of new American citizens. Obama can — and will — attempt to get around that by claiming that he is not granting citizenship to anyone by executive order, only the right to stay and work in the United States.
Many of those allowed to stay in the United States will have children, however — and each of them, by law, will be a U.S. citizen. If that’s not impacting naturalization, it’s hard to imagine what would.
Not that it matters, of course. It’s unlikely that this president is going to wake up tomorrow for the first time in his life caring about the Constitution that he swore to protect or, for that matter, American citizens.
The new Congress had better be gearing up for a fight.
Please share this article on Twitter and Facebook if you agree that Republicans in Congress must unite to combat President Barack Obama’s unlawful attempts to impinge on their authority.
