CONGRESSMAN LISTENS TO MY SPEECH TONIGHT, FRI 2/17
Hello! Just got back from doing another speech at another Democratic Ward Club.
The BIG difference in this speech was that Congressman Dennis Kucinich was in the audience. I was wondering how my speech would be received by this group since their Congressman was there, especially since I was passing out an "mmigration voting report card" that I think rated him a D-. To make matters worse he was introducing his new wife, and it felt a little awkward.
Well it all went well. Luckily I think I gave one of my better speeches (parctice makes perfect) today and got our key points across -- with the Congressman sitting there listending.
I must admit I was relieved that he left right after my speech and before I began handing out my literature. I really didn't want to hand his wife something that might be embarassing....but I had no problem passing the report out to the audience.
Once again I saw people pointing out to their adjacent seated neighbor the low grades all the area Congressman, have. The highest grade of the six is a C.
No negative comments at all. Several people came up to me to thank me and stated they want illegal immigration to end.
Well it was a good week, 4 speeches and only positive comments!
Good night from Ohio!
Steve
