I tuned-in midstream after he was already speaking. But...

Let me mention the obvious - hey, at least we know which of our representatives take their job seriously by: a). saying the right things and b) putting in the time to get the job done.

A small recap:

* He talked about the remittances sent outside the US mainly to Mexico and the rest of Central and South America

* Mentioned the current total estimate of all remittances is about 45 billion currently

* Specifically mentioned the personal effects that acts of illegals have on US citizens:

Relayed the example of Jordin Paulder - killed by illegal Santos Borjas in Atlanta. (He displayed a poster-size image of the perp). Remember, he was the class act that killed a young boy using a couple swipes of an axe to the head ...after the boy went up to the car in which Borjas was driving to see if he needed help....

I'm going to fax Rep. King Kate's great graphics of the victims. I think he'll be receptive audience.
