    Surge in Los Angeles

I posted this earlier on the increase in hate crimes in LA largely committed by gangs and how the federal government is going to try and help state and local government deal with it.

Then the comparison hit me to Baghdad. The same ethnic cleansing issues the same desperate attempt to control it by the US government both of which are likely to fail.

Also came across another link on the subject posted by UB.

Of course, the difference between the ethnic cleansing in the US and Iraq is that the US government couldn't care less about what happens in the US.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

Too many people are too politically correct is one problem and the other one is that politicians want power and don't care how they get it.
I have a gang in my neighborhood as they have been leaving their graffiti around. I called the county office that deals with graffiti to have it removed and let the gang unit know about it so they can deal with it. The Miami Dade gang unit along with other agency task forces have been successful in catching gang members and having illegal members kicked out of the country. That was in the past but now there are so many different gangs out there that they can only focus on the worse ones.

What is interesting is the fact that gangs go by race or ethnicity. In Miami we have African American gangs, Haitian gangs, Brazilian gangs, Hispanic gangs where some are even divided by the families country of origin.

Another Link on the disaster that is LA

This is a link from the LA times that describes how they are trying to get a truce between the various ethnic gangs in Los Angeles. Just more evidence that the whole place is out of control.
