Argh! Palin: "I support a path to citizenship...."

    http://hotair.com/archives/2008/10/22/p ... -illegals/ - this is worth reading. There's a video that hasn't been completely translated,

    http://ads.univision.com/js.ng/Params.r ... ust=185218

And here's a translation of part of it:

    http://www.univision.com/content/conten ... &pagenum=2

There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

So reward them with insta-citizenship? Politicians are all the same!

What about our safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here?? Not a whole lot of prosperity in people losing thier homes, no jobs...and health? TB is on the rise because of third worlders "seeking a better life". Theirs gets better-ours goes down the tubes!

Huh? So Sarah, how can they have a "Path to Citizenship" if they didn't follow the rules which you say are so important? Must be something lost in the translation.

Since she joined McCain, I've gradually come to think of Palin as a blank slate - much like George W. Bush was a blank slate at the start of his presidency. The problem is that most of these politicians have absolutely no guiding philosophy, and those that do have philosophies antithetical to American values. There is no other explanation for someone who has gone from "Buchanan's Brigade" to "we need a path to citizenship". Palin reflects her environment.

Furthermore, the unelected "bueacracy wing" of government - the Zbigniew Brzezinskis, the Kissingers, and the Jack Kemps of D.C. - are the corrupting influence that turn these blank slates into internationalist quislings.

However different some think McCain and Obama are going into the White House, the outcome of their policies will emerge relatively the same in either case. Frankly, neither is intelligent enough or possesses the civic literacy to run this country, and therefore we will see these unelected influences achieving their own ends. That is, an interventionist foreign policy, an unsound monetary system, a burgeoning federal government, unchecked interference in our daily lives, and a continued abuse of civil liberties.

This is a shame. Illegal aliens step ahead and benefit where American citizens and legal residents cannot. They are allowed to steal, break the law, and take, take ,take from the United States. There are American citizens that are poor, having a difficult time making a living and supporting a family, and yet politicians and others seem to only see the illegal alien plight, and they want to reward them even more.

    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Let's not forget that Laura Ingraham swore up and down that Sarah was "on our side" when we were all demanding to hear where Palin stood on the issue...

When Hannity refused to ask the one question that mattered, Ingraham - a frequent guest on his show - never once asked why Sean wussed out.

I seem to recall that Ingraham also swore she'd never vote for McCain, yet she stumps for him on every show.

Sarah is a little girl who does and says what she is programmed to. She has no concept of the reality America faces each day. She might as well be the mayor of Catalina Island. I say we force her to spend a few days in the L.A. library looking at microfiche slides of how beautiful Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley used to look. Then she should be driven up and down San Vicente, Sepulveda, and Van Nuys boulevards. She should be driven down Agoura Rd at 7AM to see the hundreds and hundreds of "guest workers" lining the streets, with million dollar homes less than a block away. You know, I bet pictures from Anchorage in the 50's pretty much look like it does today.

Have her research how meat packing wages have declined - even ignoring inflation - as black workers were forced out of their jobs and replaced by foreign labor.

Take her to lunch at In-and-Out, where they verify citizenship. Then take her for dinner to McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Carl's Jr, or every other fast food joint where English isn't even a second language - it's a dead language.

Then fly her out to any midwest state and show her the cancer-towns that are small now, but weren't there 5 years ago. Take her to PA, where the cancer has spread to larger towns. To New Orleans, where the spirit of the town was forced out thanks to Bush suspending the minimum wage there. Today, you can see Tijuana being born there.

Ingraham, Hannity, Medved, Hewitt, Prager, Limbaugh - all Bush-humping, Karl Rove worshipping RINOs. Even Coulter has reverted to "Obama is worse" - as if that's supposed to be a valid reason to vote for McAmnesty.

This election will be a thorough colon cleansing for the GOP. Let's hope conservatism is reborn in 2012.

Yup, I remember Laura Ingraham saying back during the primary season (when Romney and McCain were fighting it out) that conservatism was "hanging in the balance" & and that's why we should vote for Romney.

And just recently, Laura didn't even ask Palin about illegal immigration when she had her (Palin) on her show -- an issue which Laura for which has been a great ally.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of Laura, but I hope she and other conservative talk radio hosts will be able to move past this McCain-era soon and start rebuilding conservatism.
