Enforce existing immigration laws
Opinion

In view of recent terror attempts in Great Britain and other parts of the world I urge our government to enforce existing immigration laws. Secure our borders. Provide tamper proof ID's and track visas closely so we know who can live and work in our country.

During these dangerous times we must become even more vigilant. Here in our state of Virginia we have sanctuary cities that are a haven for terrorists and other criminal elements. Sanctuary cities must be brought under the rule of law.

I would hope government officials would put politics aside and be committed to our country's and its citizens' safety. To do any less shows a reckless disregard for our nation's security.

There are many days I wonder if Northern Virginia, aside from Prince William County, is not a sancturary group of counties. We are being overrun with illegals here, especially in Arlington.

Have you looked into doing something at the state level? I read recently that someone in California was introducing legislation to prohibit cities from passing laws against illegals. If that passes constitutional muster (it is yest untested) then it seems like a bill prohibiting sanctuary cities would also.

A sanctuary city is and should be taken by the Federal government as a traitorous move! The Mayor should be thrown in jail for treason and the Governor should be punished because a city in his state turned on the nation! As for the churches providing sanctuary to illegals should be dealt with by revoking tax exempt status and have criminal charges brought up on the church!!! No one is above the law, no body!!!!
