Notice how a lot of senators are rallying afterwards today for the DREAM illusion. Maybe when they go home they will get a dose of reality.

Bennet got voted out in the Utah GOP convention.

He may be on RINO who could vote for DREAM in the lame duck session.

And voting Yes with Sen Bennett would be the following Republicans:

    Collins
    Hatch
(both of whom supported the DREAM Act in the past, but voted No today because of the procedue involved and attachment to the Defense bill)
    Snowe
    and, I believe,
    Brownback
(who wanted to support CIR before, but was finally forced into voting no by his constituents. That pressure will not apply after the Nov. election, because Brownback is retiring.)

That reduces the opposition to 35 Republicans at most. And Dems. who indicated they would or might vote "No' today (Ben Nelson, NE, McCaskill, MO, for example) stayed with their leadership and voted "Yes", although Sen. Nelson has a philosophy of always voting Yes on cloture votes to give the legislation a hearing.

i think it would be a great idea to form a seprate bill ..

What's that ? you got your ass kicked today and you want seconds ?

    CAN DO !

The more they push this issue , the greater the average joe who doesn't pay attention to poltics has a chance to learn about it ... every american who is learning about the dream act or CIR is generally going to be against it ...

sure we'd all like to make everyone a citizen , and we all wish the streets flowed with gold and that unicorns danced in the clouds ... reality is a bitch thou ...
