The N.C. Highway Patrol has released the names of the four victims in a two-vehicle wreck Monday morning on N.C. Highway 280 near Mills River.

Shortly after 7 a.m., a Nissan Sentra carrying three occupants crossed the center line and collided with a Dodge Neon head on, the patrol reported. There were no survivors in the crash.

The driver of the Dodge Neon has been identified as Calvin Raines, 83, of Brevard, according to Trooper Mark Corbin.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra was Manuel Anres-Bomaye, 26, of Asheville. Raymundo Garcia-Garcia, 34, of Asheville was the backseat passenger. Roberto Sanchez-Mendez, 23, of Weaverville was in the passenger seat.

Highway Patrol officials are working with the state office to find and notify the next of kin of the fourth victim, Corbin said.

The trooper said the investigation so far has shed no light on why Anres-Bomaye crossed into the eastbound lanes near George Chastain Road, causing the wreck.
