In their lifetimes, they have seen their Christian faith purged from schools their taxes paid for and mocked in movies and on TV. They have seen their factories shuttered and jobs outsourced. They have seen trillions of tax dollars go for Great Society programs, but have seen no Great Society, only crime, rising illegitimacy, and rising dropout rates. They watch on cable as illegal aliens walk into their country and are rewarded with free health care and education for their kids, take away jobs from U.S. workers, and carry Mexican flags while marching in American cities to demand U.S. citizenship.

They see Wall Street banks bailed out and read that the bankers used the billions not to lend but to trade, and that the bonuses are back. They see their government shoveling billions out to Fortune 500 companies and banks to rescue the country from a financial crisis created by that same government, and by those same companies and banks. They sense they are losing their country. And they are right.

[p. 400] Our intellectual, cultural, and political elites are today engaged in one of the most audacious and ambitious experiments in history. They are trying to transform a Western Christian republic into an egalitarian democracy made up of all tribes, races, creeds, and cultures of planet Earth. They have dethroned our God, purged our cradle of faith from public life, and repudiated the Judeo-Christian moral code by which previous generations sought to live.

They have declared men and women to be basically the same, that all voluntary sexual relations are morally equal, that the traditional family is but one social option, that men can marry men and women can marry women, that race is a social construct invented by bigots bent on repressing others, that all are endowed with the intelligence and ability to succeed in the most competitive society on earth. All religions and all "lifestyles" are equal and all are to be equally respected. These elites will fight to ensure that a mosque is built at Ground Zero with the same ferocity as they will ensure that no Nativity scene ever appears on the National Mall. If there is an inequality of rewards in society, they believe, this is the residue of a reactionary America, the fruit of societal injustice, and it is the moral duty of our modern state to rectify that injustice and mandate equality. Those who reject these truths are benighted and bigoted.

Our secular elites believe in this revolution. The people never did. Middle America detests it. Thus it has had to be imposed from above, by judges, bureaucrats, professors, and those who control the content of our culture. One part of America believes we are headed for a wonderful new age. The silent majority thinks the country has lost its mind.
    Middle America has watched as
    • 49 Democratic State Committee heads or Secretaries
(excluding Brian Schatz, chairman of the Democrat Party of Hawaii),
      50 state Secretaries of State,
      50 state Governors, and
      50 state Attorneys General,
      538 Electors,
535 Members of the U.S. Congress and then-President of the Senate Dick Cheney,
      9 U.S. Supreme Court Justices,
      dozens of federal judges,
along with the FBI, the DHS, and the DOJ,
rejected many thousands of pleas from Middle America
    demanding enforcement of the U.S. Constitution, Art. ii, § 1, ¶ 5.

"No person except a natural born Citizen... shall be eligible to the Office of President."

    A natural born Citizen is:
    • a citizen
      born in the country
      of parents who are citizens,
according to the U.S. Supreme Court in Minor v. Happersett, The Venus, and Shanks v. DuPont, and never contradicted by any other U.S. Supreme Court decision, not even by Wong Kim Ark, which ruled on the requirements to be a CITIZEN, not a "natural born Citizen."

Mr. Obama has attempted to deny his birthplace in Mombasa, Kenya, by posting on the Internet fabricated images of two counterfeit, forged Hawaii birth documents. But even if Barack Obama II HAD been born in Hawaii (which he wasn't) - even if he had been born in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House, witnessed by the nine Supreme Court Justices - he could never be a natural born Citizen. His Kenyan, British Protected Citizen father was NEVER a U.S. citizen. MASSIVE FAIL
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!

P.S. I sent Brown a couple of blistering emails. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. I hope is really getting an ear-ful right now.

Do you think he didn't get it before? There has been an ongoing campaign against AB 130 and AB 131 for months, led by hundreds of CA activists. Sacramento has been inundated w/ calls, faxes and e-mails. Local AM radio hosts have caused/driven thousands of calls in the direction of the capitol.

He doesn't care, AB. He's heard it. It doesn't matter what even a majority of citizens want on this issue. He is owned by ethnocentric advocacy groups and public employee unions.

Brown also just signed a bill making it more difficult to impound an unlicensed illegal alien driver's automobile, when one gets nabbed at a DUI/License checkpoint.

Brown, like most Democrats, is going out of his way to make California illegal alien friendly. It's not as though he is unaware of those that think this idea royally sucks.

California is almost (really close) beyond American democracy at this point.

Well you're right, SZ. But I'd like to think (or at least hope) that Brown isn't immune to the vitriol that is surely coming his way.l

And (assuming the gen. CA population is angry enough about this, which I doubt) replace him with whom?

Name the Democrat or Republican who could 1) win a statewide election, 2) enact serious immigration enforcement measures, a la AZ, GA or AL, and 3) ever hope to get any true reform of ridiculous spending and measures making illegals unwelcome, past the CA legislature.

We have a problem. CA is demographically "gone" for conservatives. It is filled with anchor babies and former illegal aliens and, in the big cities, white liberals. The conservatives/business people have been moving out for the past 15 years, and the 3rd World has been moving in. Add into this mix what I suspect are tens of thousands of illegal aliens who vote in CA elections, and no conservative has much of a prayer here, except in local or regional elections (exs. Tom McClintock, Darrel Issa, etc.).

Here is reality. Obama could lose in a landslide this coming year. The unemployment rate could continue to slowly climb for the next 13 months and he could dig us into debt a couple more trillion dollars ... and you know what? He'll still win California by at least 8 points next year. We saw the reality of what California is now, in 2010. GOP candidates swept to victories everywhere EAST of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Demography is destiny and I fear California's has already been written. We simply allowed this illegal alien hugging to go on too long and now there are too few people here who aren't either liberal illegal alien sympathizers or the offspring of current and former illegals.

I like what assemblymember Tim Donnelly -- a Republican from San Bernadino -- said. He's already working to repeal the legislation and he says "it will hurt the Democrats in the upcoming election." Just ask Rick Perry.

I know you are right - it really is hopeless here. I guess I've known it deep down since I was in my 20's. I was not in to politics back then, but the image of thousands of cheering illegals when prop 187 was overturned is burned into my mind. That is when we took a turn for the worse. I will keep fighting to help stop this from happening to other states. As a Californian, I have more of a voice/chance of being listened to in another state - not my own.
