Joe Biden’s Latest Claim Has Many Wondering If He’s Mentally Fit Enough To Be VP

Vice President Joe Biden has people scratching their heads in confusion after remarks Tuesday, leaving many wondering if the 71-year-old with a chilling medical history of brain aneurysms is indeed fit to run the country alongside President Barack Obama.
“Fifteen years ago, I was honored, as the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, to lead the fight for Poland’s admission into NATO,” Biden said in Warsaw, Poland, during a visit designed to reassure America’s Eastern European allies in the wake of Russia’s move to take control of Crimea, reported Bloomberg.
The only problem: Biden wasn’t chairman back then.
In fact, Sen. Jesse Helms (R-NC) had guided the committee and launched the floor debate on granting NATO accession to Poland, as well as Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Biden was Chairman from 2001 to 2003, several years after Poland joined NATO in 1999.
Although Biden did eventually lead the Democratic Senate minority in approving the resolution that added the countries, he had initially taken a position against growing NATO’s expanse to the West.
After hearing the veep’s bizarre false claims, many are asking if Biden is mentally fit to continue in his political position.

It’s a little too early for him to start falsely padding his resume in order to win votes in 2016, but that didn’t stop Vice President Joe Biden from claiming he did something he didn’t.

Traveling in Warsaw, Poland, Biden claimed that when serving as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he led the fight in getting the country to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Fifteen years ago, I was honored, as the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, to lead the fight for Poland’s admission into NATO.

One small hiccup, though: he was Chairman from 2001 to 2003. Poland joined NATO in 1999. Oops. It was actually Republican Senator Jesse Helms (NC) who served as Chairman at that time.
