Sept. 17, 2007 at 3:00pm EST is when HR 1585 will receive floor action in the Senate and amendments will be considered.

The Dream Act has been submitted as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act HR 1585. It is amendment number SA 2237 submitted by Senator Durbin.

It's on the Senate website and calendar that HR 1585 is on the floor at 3:00am. Give or take a few minutes.

What they are saying is that the Dream Act is not a bill.

The Dream Act is an amendment to the Defense bill that is on the floor and schedule. Ask then and they will say the Defense bill is being discussed. Got to love the disinformation.

Yea Paige, that whole discussion is about the residents of DC want representation. They have a House Representative and that's it.

The way to give them that privlige would be via Constitutional Amendment and not a bill.

If they are going to Amend DC's right to vote, then they better deal with the Anchor Babies at the same time.

I have been calling like a mad-man. When you consider that they would even consider the Dreamact attached to a DOD Bill when many of our young people have joined the Military to ensure college funds for themselves it is a slap in the face to everyone that has a child serving at this time. the Dreamact portal has very little discussion about the illegals joining the military it is about being able to work, Drive, the dream car they will be buying, making life easier for their families.
