Why I want the illegals deported

Ok I will tell you why I am for deporting all the illegals and fines and jail time for all the business owners who hire them.

In 1994 I had a dog sled business I did dog sled tours at ski resorts and I also taught winter survival for B.O.S.S. when David Wescot owned it. I had a dog food manufactured for me. I developed this dog food formula over a 5 year period. My dog sled tour business had increased 25% per year over a five year period. I had contracts with Grand Targhee Ski resort, Teton Village in Jackson Hole, Teton Ridge Ranch, B.O.S.S., and Forest Service Permits for Teton Canyon. The previous year we (my ex-wife and one employee) were grossing $500.00 per hour and netting $425 per hour. This season we planned on hiring 2 more dog drivers, and I had orders for 3,000 pounds of my dog food from other mushers.

October 1994 at about 10 pm my sled dogs started getting sick by the next afternoon 28 of my dogs were dead and 58 crippled. The feed company that was mixing my dog food had nothing but illegal aliens working for him. Only the “Formanâ€

    Bad Hand,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. Not being able to speak English coupled with employers cutting corners to hire employees that cut corners is a toxic mix for America!

Several contractors have told me that those running crews illegals had best set managers on top of the project all day. They say if the managers leave the site the work grinds to close to a stop and you will have plumbing running through windows before you know it.

When it comes to America's food and ingested products, we need local production by Americans. We need people that care about the end results of their work. We need that connectivity.

It used to be that if a local banker abused someone in the community, well he would get an ear full because he had to walk down main street everyday.

Now, these businesses are owned by chains of people that reach outside of America. If they poison our children, they will never come face to face with those they betrayed through their decisions and actions.

We need to return to the principles that made America such a great nation and we need to defeat those taking the low road at every turn.

I signed in to post a comment on a thread I saw earlier, but for some reason decided to read your thread. This is one of the most compelling stories I've read in some time, and I'm so glad you posted it. My heart goes out to you and your family, and I hope if life hasn't yet compensated you in some way, it will do so in the future. Again, thank you for sharing your story.

    This is horrible!

It really gets me when innocent animals are killed, it's tough to lose one dog let alone all that you lost. If only we could see this story on the MSM.

I hope there is some kind of recourse for you, at least to recoup something financially.

I don't really know what to say, good luck, God bless!

Bad_hand, sorry to hear about this. I know what I am about to tell you does not compare, but it is similar in you point. Each time I have darkened the doorway of our local BK (we try not to go there, but sometimes are compelled to by a need for fast dinner), we hear managers having to make their "cooks" re-do food much of the time, and hear them repeating things such as "NO mayonaisse, no, no mayonaisse", to which the English deficient emplyee will then slather on the mayoniasse!!!!

My own brother works in construction, he installs and repairs gas furnaces/appliances. He said the few contractors he has worked with who hire some illegals (he tries not to ever work on a site with illegal aliens out of principal), he said the work is beyond sub-standard, and this is why we see so many problems with mold and mildew growing in new construction homes. Siding not put on right, loose roofing all of which result in leaks into walls, and in Oregon, this is a disaster (our winters are heavy rain and wind).

So, in summary, we certainly agree with you that English speaking legal immigrants, or American citizens should be hired only, and especially when it comes to something as important as pet food and human food safety.

What an awful story, I am so sorry. Just heartbreaking...again, I just can't understand why our govt lets this happen to us. DEPORT, DEPORT, DEPORT, AND DON'T LET THEM BACK OVER.
Just your ordinary, average, everyday, American mom!
